Position Summary - ISC IT Business Solutions Leader; Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics
The ISC IT Business Solutions Leader (IT Director) functions as a liaison between Aerospace IT and ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) leadership. The Leader is responsible for understanding critical ISC business processes/initiatives and aligning the respective SAP/3rd Party solutions to provide the best return on investment. The portfolio of Integrated Supply Chain process areas this position is responsible for includes Procurement, Inventory Mgt / Optimization, Logistics (VMI/3PL), Kanban/Pull, and Flow supporting both internal and external suppliers.
This position will be focused on supporting one of the top ISC initiatives in Aerospace with respect to reducing inventory and increasing OTTR through the use of standard Procurement, Logistics and inventory management/optimization processes and solutions. Human factors analysis and its deployment will be a critical element in this role to ensure processes and solutions are clear, simple, and easy to use for maximum benefit.
Functional Application Roadmaps:
Understands critical ISC business processes; strategies and the applications that support them. Stays abreast of industry trends in business processes and applications/technologies available to satisfy them.
Leads special teams composed of business and IT stakeholders to review and make decisions on appropriate applications/technologies in road-mapping efforts. Regularly updates and publishes roadmaps to key stakeholders.
Develops investment profiles over the STRAP (Strategic Planning) period for achieving robust procurement, inventory, and logistics application roadmaps.
Identifies application retrofit needs to standardize business processes within the application portfolio.
Gathers information on competitor technology to provide competitive supply chain advantage.
Portfolio Management:
Collaborates with business owners, process analysts, and build/run team to prioritize IT work (projects, Support Communities, and Small Work Requests) including AOP (annual operation plan) and on-going engagement with the IT investment governance processes.
Ensures project execution adherence to schedule and cost/benefit targets of approved IT projects and activities.
Provide monthly/quarterly forecast for budget spend
Drive business case based funding and project initiation.
Identifies and negotiates for resources on IT projects and activities.
Evaluate Aero Program objectives; Project prioritization; and New business initiative analysis
Facilitates defining standards within functional /technical solution that align with standard business processes and communicates priorities to Build, Application Rationalization and Retrofit teams.
High Level Requirements and Business Case Development:
Advises, suggests and assists ISC business leadership and executive management in defining information technology needs and planning the development and implementation of Information Technology.
For new business initiatives, articulates critical to quality requirements and translates into conceptual solution options/alternatives with existing and/or new applications/technologies. Collaborates with business partners on identification of benefits and financial return of opportunities proposed.
Collaborates with the Aero IT Build and Run teams for resource planning, cost estimating and development of integrated Information Technology projects with strategic and tactical management plans. Formally documents business cases and drives through AOP and IT Investment governance processes. Prepares project charter for project execution team and formalizes the project scope.
Apply innovation to drive solutions for procurement, inventory, and logistics management.
Customer Relationship and end to end Service Delivery:
Provides day to day support to business partners as the first contact representing IT.
Collaborates with ISC Leadership (Manager and Director levels) on the status of projects/efforts affecting their respective ISC function and/or product center.
Escalates critical issues and risks for projects not meeting schedule or financial objectives.
Responsible for overall solution delivery - program issue resolution, requirements fidelity, business value delivery, and long range strategy.
Communications:
Prepares business case and high level requirements for any new project opportunities. Provides input on priority against other work items in queue and whether to approve to either interlock or project execution phases.
Prepares communications of status of IT investments/operations in monthly operations reviews within ISC Functions, and Product Centers.
Reviews progress of IT waterline projects (SPI, CPI, Risks and Issues), and opportunity queues during monthly operations reviews.
Prepares inputs for Aero IT STRAP, AOP, and Goals/Objectives setting.
Collaborates with Build and Plan teams on new business and roadmapping initiatives to determine functional solutions that align with customer CTQ's and IT strategies.
Facilitates regularly scheduled project status meetings and maintains open communication with project execution team and ISC leadership and external vendors when applicable.
Provide monthly highlights to IT and ISC leadership
Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Computer Sciences or related field required; MBA a plus.
Five plus years operational knowledge of SAP supply chain experience.
Must be U.S. Citizen due to SAP/export compliance.
Additional Qualifications:
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills to leadership levels (tier 2-3). Demonstrates the ability to launch and deliver multiple I.T. projects to defined scope, schedule, and budget.
Experience with requirements management, business case development, and enterprise analysis.
Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and Business Systems Analysis Professional (IIBA) or Equivalent Certified Preferred.
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certified.
APICS Certified a Plus.
Prior IT Consulting Experience a plus.
