Director - Treasury Planning - Hyundai Capital America - Orange County
Job description
The candidate is expected to operate and work with general oversight but take lead to drive initiatives, work independently and communicate effectively with all level within the organization. This is a leadership position within the Treasury Department that directs the management and execution of critical strategic Treasury Planning functions including, but not limited to policy setting, funding plan, risk mitigation, and contingency planning to ensure sustainable liquidity.
Essential Job Function:
Manage treasury planning initiatives and funding goals
Develop modeling routines to aid in developing balance sheet risk profile and stress scenario analysis
Manage and facilitate ad-hoc analysis, planning metrics, benchmarking, and reporting for scheduled meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate and manage all relevant corporate teams that impact the ability to successfully implement liquidity risk management, contingency plan & stress testing, funding portfolio optimization and capital plan
Monitor counterparty risk and provide support on derivatives valuations
Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure their development and that management goals are achieved. All other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Strategy development and plan implementation
Excellent knowledge of capital markets, accounting and corporate finance
Working experience with rating agencies, legal counsel and audit firms strongly recommended
Prior managerial experience in developing and executing strategic plans
Ability to set goals and milestones to efficiently and effectively complete objectives
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills
Managerial, team building skills and strong team ethic required.
Strong ability to work in a highly time-sensitive, dynamic and rapidly growing environment

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint / Excel, Bloomberg and other job-related software applications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance required. MBA or Masters in Finance required
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience required
Minimum of 5 years of recent Treasury or Financial Strategy experience preferred
