Director - Supply Chain - UNILIN - Dallas
Job description
The Director of Supply Chain will manage and direct the supply chain team who will be responsible to procure, demand forecast, and manage supply-chain inventory in multiple locations for Unilin.

Responsibilities:
Manages all manufactured and sourced products team to meet the overall financial customer service and inventory goals.
Oversees and directs the monthly sales and operations planning process.
Responsible for continuous improvements programs with suppliers
Accountable for managing the division's overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability. Will establish and implement procedures for special order request, engineering changes and part substitutions, and sales market demand for products.
Manage the division’s transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers / warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost.
Reviews variances of sales, purchases and inventory to the annual plan with all planning managers and supervisors; guides them in making decisions and implementing corrective actions with plants, suppliers, sales, marketing and finance.
Manages the budgets and expenses for the supply chain planning group.
Establishes and measures operational and tactical performance indicators for the planning group with the help of the planning managers and supervisors.
Delegates and monitors process improvement projects resulting in inventory reductions or service improvements.
Implement systems and processes necessary to sustain aggressive growth goals
Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,
Operations, Logistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
Certified in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) designation highly
preferred.
8 - 10 yrs. previous material planning/supply chain management and statistical forecasting experience.
5+ year’s previous supervisory or management experience.
Self-starter who operates independently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups or functions
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
Demonstrated ability to delegate and balance multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to use statistical forecasting techniques.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
Good leadership and coaching skills.
