Director - Benefits Strategy - Fidelity Investments - Boston
Job description
The Director, Benefits Strategy is part of our Corporate Benefits team and is accountable for supporting the design and execution of mostly large scale, multi-stakeholder strategic initiatives. It will be responsible for key vendor relationships and identified business plan strategic initiatives and Assists in developing subject matter expertise and recommending Fidelity point of view for emerging areas of focus within the benefits space (e.g., on-site wellness centers / telemedicine).
Primary Responsibilities
Participates in the development of multi-year strategy execution of key initiatives, (focus on health & wellness, work life program strategy) as designated by business plan activities. Initiative focus will evolve each year based on business needs but will tend to be large, mult-layered, multi-stakeholder in focus.
Leads assigned initiatives, identified and assigned annually through business planning, that support the long-term benefits strategy and business needs. (E.g. VOC, Wellness Pilots, Emerging focus areas, Process/program improvements with our vendors, evaluating new program opportunities)
Coordinates initiatives with key stakeholders, vendors, to build consensus and recommendations, anticipates needs, creates, and presents materials to management as needed or requested
Owns assigned partner and vendor relationships on an annual or as needed basis. Develops recommendations, rationale to align with strategic initiatives and presents to VP, Benefits
Participates and contributes to the development of benefits communications and related strategies that support strategic goals/vision for programs/initiatives
Partners with H&W Stakeholder Committee/Regional HR, and other key stakeholders to socialize, identify integration opportunities, challenges and ultimately and garner support large, multi-stakeholder , multi-faceted initiatives
Responsible for subject matter expert review related to communications for launches of new programs or annual program changes
Responsible for key data/analytical analysis of key vendor/strategic initiatives
Manages multi-dimensional relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external partners, and consultants
Participates in industry committees and conference forums to stay abreast of industry trends
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
5-8 years Benefits experience in benefits project management, strategy area.
Expertise in health and wellness preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
CEBS designation preferred
