Job description
Director of Finance – Americas Region

Basic Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of HCC’s Americas’ Region accounting, financial processes, internal controls and reporting functions. Provides financial leadership and supports the EVP responsible for the Americas region in all financial needs including guidance, analysis, budgeting and support. Leads financial due diligence and integration for M&A activities as they arise. This position reports directly to CFO, Executive Vice President.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Technical and comprehensive knowledge of all accounting functional areas.
Working knowledge of SEC and IRS reporting requirements.
Ability to regularly liaise with upper management and present to Board-level audience.
Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o 20% Financial Leadership of Region - Provides financial advice, reporting and analysis to primary internal customer, the EVP in charge of Americas Region. Interfaces regularly and provides support to meet the needs of the Americas Leadership team

o 50% Managing Accounting Operations - Directs all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all accounting transactions (general ledger, receivables, payables, billing, and payroll) in accordance with GAAP. Ensures SOX compliant internal controls are functioning, documented and tested.

o 20% Merger and Acquisition Support – (as required based upon M&A activity) – Assists senior management in financial planning and analysis, due diligence, and integration.

o 10% External and Internal Audit - Coordinates year-end audit, internal reviews and annual accounting department performance reviews.

Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting; CPA required, MBA a plus
Minimum ten years of total accounting experience, with five years of “Big 4” public accounting experience and five years in accounting management

Equipment and Applications:
· MS Office proficiency required. Oracle Financials experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
· General office environment. No special physical demands required.

Travel:
Regular and expeditious travel throughout the United States and occasionally overseas is required.
