Position Summary:
The Director of Digital Experience is responsible for building and leading a team of digital strategists and developers to develop and execute a strategic digital roadmap and vision for the organization. This associate leads the creation of branded digital experiences informed by business analysis, consumer insight, competitive landscape, online behavioral observation, and brand vision. This associate also leads all digital channel and experience design, content strategies, digital vendor partnerships, platform planning, and social media strategies to support both Corporate Retail and Distribution businesses.
As the voice of digital innovation, the associate will need to educate and be a change agent with regard to building and leveraging digital strategy and technology to help the company transform the business and remain competitive. The associate will do this by demonstrating leadership in engagement trends, use of technology, vendor and platform capabilities, and primary and secondary research in the space to improve the shopping experience for our consumers.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, e-Commerce, Business Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Eight (8) years Graphic Design, Agency or Digital experience preferably in the retail industry.
Two (2) years supervisory experience.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Leads the development of a comprehensive consumer digital marketing strategy to support our brand positioning across all Retail banners (business needs, platforms, resources, promotional support, consumer user experience, Innovation, organizational education, consumer education and engagement).
Leads the development of a digital marketing strategy that provides our distribution customer base with products and services in support of their business models.
Provides thought leadership to the Marketing team in the development of digital marketing strategies and promotional planning development.
Develops and manages strategic digital business partnerships; serves as strategic resource to marketing, IT, operations, distribution marketing and merchandising teams for consumer digital solutions.
Manage and maintain vendor partnerships and agreements - negotiate contracts, evaluate partner performance; work with procurement to review existing agreements and identify opportunities and efficiencies, engage in RFP process when necessary.
Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. Develop and monitor department budget as required.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAs):
Strong understanding of digital and e-commerce marketing strategy. Experience managing website content and functionality. Strong financial acumen and management skills. Strong consumer intuition. Ability to lead cross-functional team; with clear direction, passion, consensus building. Has executive presence; able to gain consensus with executive level leadership. Ability to lead and develop people. Innovative/creative thinker. Excellent written/verbal skills (including PowerPoint). Must be willing to travel occasionally.
