Director - Allocations & Replenishment - Sports Authority - Denver
Job description
The Director of Allocation and Replenishment manages the execution of the assortment strategy and maintains the financial merchandise plan. These strategies will determine how to most effectively utilize the inventory to support merchandise plans, advertising and in-stocks.
Position Responsibilities:
35%: Manage and lead the team of Managers to drive and implement allocation and replenishment strategies; including regional and seasonal opportunities.
30%: Maintain proper inventory levels by location to support sales, margin and turn goals. Work to increase inventory productivity through analysis and collaboration with business partners.
15%: Ensure new/relo/remodel stores open with the correct assortment and appropriate inventory levels and ensure levels are maintained and optimized post grand opening based on performance.
10%: Recommend and manage inventory rebalancing opportunities as necessary.
5%: Monitors store grades, ranks and assortment timing through use of the assortment timeline and consistent follow up with the merchants and teams.
5%: Participate in cross functional team projects to facilitate change and improvement with processes, systems, people, etc to help the organization grow.
Desired Skills and Experience
BA or BS degree.
10 or more years of experience in allocation, fulfillment and analysis.
Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
Advanced computer skills in Excel.
Management/supervisory experience.
Knowledge of JDA suite of software is a plus; planning, allocation, fulfillment & demand.
