Job description
This position exists to provide economic analyses, studies, and counsel on all matters of potentially significant financial impact to the company, including economic/competitive trends, pricing, cash flow, and capital additions, develops long-range budgets and other projective guidelines and measures. This position combines a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance issues with business sense.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and directs all aspects of financial analysis projects and statistical studies.
Evaluates all projects to determine financial impact, ensures projects are in line with the Company objectives and goals to drive earnings while reducing cost.
Continually monitor projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with Company goals and objectives.
Ensure CFO (and other members of the management team) are notified in a timely manner of any business issues and possible solutions to those issues.
Actively supports the Executive Management Team by providing all necessary financial information and financial analysis to support the Long Term Goals.
Direct all aspects of current and new business modeling to ensure any changes to Customers and/or Distribution Centers are compliant with the Company objectives to drive earnings and reduce cost.
Provide complete and accurate profit projections for each Customer and/or potential new customer.
Provide Customer P&L to continually monitor the Customer base to ensure we are meeting the Company goals and objectives.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, CPA or Master’s degree in a related field is highly preferred
Thorough understanding of financial statements and GAAP reporting
Expert in the use of Excel spreadsheets, building financial models for profitability analysis and decision support
Five or more years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility and demonstrated leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking and strategic planning and outstanding leadership and influence skills.
Ability and willingness to understand details of the business
Experience developing long term strategic plans
Experience building strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
Experience creating and persuasively delivering presentations to senior level executives
Project management and/or supervisory experience
Team player, a creative problem-solver, and a skilled communicator is essential
Experience with & ability to prioritize competing demands & to organize projects is essential
Any experience with Oracle Financial Suite is a plus. At a minimum, ability to learn Oracle system maneuverability and analysis.
