Digital Enterprise Marketing Head - Tata Consultancy Services - Santa Clara


Job description

The Head of marketing for DESS unit will work closely with appropriate Business Unit Heads (Mobility, Big Data, Social Media, Cloud and AI/ Robotics) and Subject Matter Experts to develop and execute marketing strategies, plans and offering campaigns. This role must be able to perform the following duties:

Duties:

Participate in the development of unit-level marketing strategies and positioning. Obtain market and competitive intelligence for the assigned business unit, including market sizing, validation, competitive benchmarks, trends, opportunities and client expectations.

Help to identify target companies and market segments within geographic markets that will have a propensity to purchase company solutions and service offerings.

Develop unit-level marketing plans including market and offering prioritization, core theme development, market awareness strategies, and campaign development.

Develop and deploy a social marketing strategy for the services and solutions.

Develop offering-level positioning, value messaging and descriptions that are relevant and meaningful to customers and easily understood by sales professionals and associates. Articulate competitive differentiators for offerings and strategies to position the company to win the majority of pursuits. Infuse marketing messages consistently throughout all marketing media and channels (e.g. brochures and all other marketing materials, web content, sales proposals and presentations, etc.).

Serve as liaison with Corporate or Field-level Marketing and Communications to drive all unit-level communications:

o Work with Marketing Communications to drive development of marketing collateral, case studies, sales kits and other sales enablement components.

o Work with Field Marketing to develop campaign and event strategy and assist with program execution and follow-up.

o Work with Communications on public relations activities including content for the development of press releases and by-lined articles, as well as facilitating gathering customer quotes and approvals.

o Work with Analyst Relations to communicate with industry analysts to promote offerings.

Leverage the technology analysts across industry verticals for briefings, inquiries and also go to market opportunities through them.

Help in gathering approved customer references in the form of case profiles, testimonials, sales references and article quotes.

Support new offering development initiatives, including market research, assessing customer needs and competitive environment, developing new solution/product value propositions and marketing messages and identifying new market opportunities. Recommend offering changes and enhancements and participate in offering elimination decisions.

Work closely with Business Unit thought leaders and experts to identify the most timely and compelling topics, and to support their efforts to create and disseminate the content as effectively as possible (create supporting white papers, articles, interviews and presentations).

Travel required based on business need (approximately 10-25%)

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum of 10-15 years marketing discipline experience managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, with at least 3-5 years experience in the Professional Services, Software or IT industries.

Experience with and exposure to the new technologies (Mobility, Big Data, Social Media, Cloud and AI/ Robotics).

Experience evaluating and assessing internal and external client needs and market needs, and transforming them into actionable marketing plans/campaigns.

Proven success developing and executing business-to-business marketing programs, including goal setting, budget management and results measurement.

Strong communications skills, both written and oral. Special emphasis on marketing communications skills and exposure to development of customer case studies

Relevant experience developing service offerings or “productizing” services.

Experience analyzing market/industry data including market sizing information and competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns.

BA/BS degree (concentration in Business or Marketing. MBA with concentration in marketing preferred.)
