Director - Strategic Consulting - The TAS Group - Seattle


Job description
The TAS Group is looking for a senior sales consultant to take on the role of Director, Strategic Consulting. You will support the sales and customer success teams to work with customers both pre- and post- sale to understand / define customer needs, design programs to meet those needs and then align the customer’s sales team, sales management and leadership teams to ensure ongoing success.

This role is based in our office in Kirkland, WA (just outside Seattle).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting with companies in the area of sales effectiveness. Specifically able to facilitate executive sessions, the ability to support the design and/or tailoring of customer sales processes, and an understanding of opportunity and account management methodologies – prior knowledge of Target Account Selling a plus. You will also be very comfortable in an Internet enabled world and ideally you will have knowledge of CRM systems, as well as an understanding of how world’s leading sales organizations operate.

This person will work to maximize the customer value of the TAS Group solutions through:
Interacting with the sales team to help define customer needs and design programs to meet these needs based on the suite of TAS Group offerings
Supporting the sales team to present solutions to customers – highlighting the desired impact it will have on their organization and how this maps back to their high-level business objectives.
Consulting with customers and facilitating executive and management alignment sessions to ensure there is a shared view of success and accountability throughout every project.
Consulting with customers to support the development of sales / customer buying processes.
Tailoring TAS Group programs for specific client engagements to maximize relevance and impact.

Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Background in sales effectiveness consulting
Strong knowledge across a broad spectrum of sales methodologies and processes
Positive attitude with customer-facing experience, managing customer relationships in commercial environments
Demonstrated customer service, leadership and team interaction
Ability to bridge technology and business goals to provide productive solutions
Ability to grasp and synthesize new technical and product information quickly, and comfortably communicate it to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong CRM experience (Salesforce.com preferred)
