Job Description
Dogeared Jewels and Gifts seeks an experienced e-commerce retail store directorfor a full time position, available immediately, to drive our successful andgrowing e-commerce business.
The E-Commerce Director will utilize knowledge of web technologies, techniques marketingand best practices to help position the Dogeared brand’s wholesale and retail websitesfor the future. The Director will plan, organize and lead the web department todevelop, execute and implement all initiatives related to the websites whileensuring company standards and strategic goals are met and are consistent withthe company's mission.
Essential to this position is astrong working knowledge and experience with Retail and Web Marketing strategyand website performance metrics. We are looking for a blend of retail merchant,creative, strategy and technology, all working together to achieve measurablebusiness results.
Candidatesshould possess a strong commitment to customer service, including a proactiveconsultative style. Understanding the connection between electroniccommunications and the Internet in an organization's overall marketing andcommunications strategy is also essential.
- Daily Management of all staff, resources and activity forRetail and Wholesale websites including:
- Retail Website Buyer
- Customer Service Team
- Social Networking resource
- Search/Affiliate/Analytics resource
- Revenue Share partner - IT services provider
- Developmentand implementation of employee development through orientation, training andeducation.
- Directoversight of all strategic marketing and execution of campaigns all for www.dogeared.com.
- Workwith COO to implement sales goals and revenue projections for Dogeared.com andto plan operating budgets and department resources accordingly.
- Management and oversight of development of E-mail, search,affiliate and other marketing programs including website calendars, product,promotions, plus all new marketing, retail, social networking and businessopportunities
- Wholesale website: responsible for planning and executingwebsite changes and updates to the Wholesale site working with Director of Salesand sales and technical teams
- Utilize resources to perform Business Analysis includingwebsite performance, traffic, product sales and profitability and use thatinformation to create long-term and short-term plans.
- Provide leadership and input to Dogeared strategy,creative and marketing activities including graphics, copy, operations andother company resources contributing to website activities.
- Manage the activities of outside technical websiteresources including overseeing day- to - day technical operations of the twowebsites.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years Web marketing experience
- Fashion or Buying experience a plus
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong understanding of Email, search, affiliate networks,web performance analytics, best practices, usability, industry trends and allweb based marketing
- Extensive computer experience with Excel, Word, must becomfortable with Mac and PC
- Professional oral and written communication skills arerequired
- Detail orientated with proven project managementexperience.
- Extraordinary organization and management skills.
