Job Description
The Comperemedia Custom Research Director is responsible for the quality and timeliness of our custom projects, including proposal, design, execution and reporting. The Research Director, through consultation and excellent deliverables, will be instrumental in the growth of Comperemedia’s custom research business. The position requires mentoring research managers and analysts with respect to custom design, execution and reporting. The RD currently manages a team of five direct and indirect reports.
Primary Responsibilities
Define and grow our research competencies and, therefore, opportunities
Develop(independently or in collaboration) compelling proposals for custom research opportunities
Directly or indirectly manage the execution and deliverable phases of all custom engagements
Lead the team in insight driven research deliverables
Mentor research staff
Work collaboratively with account management and sales team in the development of custom business and the delivery of custom projects
Work directly with clients to understand their needs and budgets
Present research findings internally and externally
Desired Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in market research or market research consulting
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
Experience in quantitative survey work required
Experience in mystery shopping and/or field research required
Advanced understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods required
Experience with formal and informal client presentations required
Experience with proposal and sales process knowledge required
Demonstrated analytical and writing skills
Strong Excel (knowledge of Pivot tables is preferred) and PowerPoint skills
SAS, SPSS, Qualtrics and/or cross-tabbing experience a plus
Experience in custom panel development is a plus
Research experience in the financial services or telecom sectors is preferred
Ability to work independently
