We are seeking a Principal, Business Unit Strategy to join our Cross –CSUStrategy team in New York, NY. Alternatively, this position can be located inIslandia, NY or Framingham, MA.
The ideal candidate would be a proactive, team-oriented critical thinker withproven analytical skills to join the Cross-CSU Strategy team. This team isfocused on 1) performing deep dive analysis on key strategic issues; 2)performing competitive analysis; 3) co-coordinating cross-CSU strategy; and 4)with the Corporate Strategy team, leading the CSG strategy process.
The Senior Principal will be primarily responsible for leading in-depth market,financial and data (customer, etc) analysis to help drive the company’s seniorexecutives to make sound and timely decisions.
Additional Responsibilities
• Lead assessment of opportunities to enter new markets;
• Proactively identify and communicate business issues;
• Work with others to bring form / structure to strategic decisions;
• Work collaboratively across CA Technologies to help secure the commitment forcross-company efforts;
• Research, analyze and deliver data-driven insights to support actionablestrategic direction and opportunity prioritization;
• Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities andinternal performance;
• Develop intimate knowledge of CA Technologies formal and informal dataresources; Collect, normalize and institutionalize necessary data to deliveranalysis.
Experience and Skills
• Understanding of new technologies & markets
• Excellent analytical & strategic thinking skills; must have ability toquickly grasp complex ideas, translate them into expected business results andclearly communicate insights to business leaders.
• Positive attitude, innovative and natural problem-solving perspective;ability to work cross-group and cross-function.
• Strong project management skills - must have ability to manage workload andto work multiple deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with synthesizing large quantities of data preferred.
Education
MBA from top program preferred or demonstrable equivalent experience

• 5-8 years (7-10 without MBA) analytic, strategic or investment experience:ideally in strategy consulting; corporate development; strategic, market,competitive and/or financial analysis.
