Senior Product Realization Manger
Description
This position is responsible for taking a product description request from "concept" to "reality". The position is a senior product development engineer role where it is critical that the individual is grounded in knowledge on the mobile data network architecture, data protocols, application behaviors and IT backend systems. The position will receive a non-technical product request and work with the client sponsor to derive development requirements. The development requirements will be documented in a Joint Requirements Document, which covers network development, IT development, Customer Care support, legal support, network operations support, sales operations support, and security support requirements. This position is responsible for identifying and managing the cross functional team through requirements definition and on-going development feedback. This position will identify budgetary requirements and drive a detailed business case through the 3D (define design develop) process. The cross functional team will comprise of peers (other Level 2 managers) and superiors (Level 3 managers). Leveragingtheir technical knowledge, the individual will also be responsible for guiding a technical architect in designing an end to end solution that meets the business requirements. In a nutshell, this position is responsible for schedule, technical, financial and resource management throughout the product development and lifecycle.
Wireless Terms & Conditions and Network Quality Initiatives are complex portfolios. These solutions include multiple elements in the mobile data network (e.g. Radio Access Network) as well as multiple elements in IT. This position requires optimal leadership. It is critical to have a highly effective and competent individual contributor assigned to this portfolio based on the complexity and investment scope.
General Description - Researches, designs, plans, develops and/or evaluates new, advanced network technologies by translatingrequirements or strategic business objectives into final product design. Work typically includes in-depth assessment of the networked application needs, providing network modeling, prototyping and simulation testing, consulting to further clarify needs to deliver application functionality. Performs network product engineering assignments, including design, development, documentation and testing of network hardware, firmware, or software products or systems.Assignments may include development of new products, enhancements, and modifications of existing products.

Contributes through own development of advanced technologies or concepts with global reach or industry application. Has direct impact on creation of technical products/services and serves as a role model and a mentor.

This position may be responsible for contributing or influencing with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications
· Strong knowledge of the 3G and Long Term Evolution of the Evolved Packet Core. Strong understanding of network policy systems including the PCRF and Balance Manager
· Deep understanding of the IT systems, with previous experience with the different IT development and IT test organizations. Strong understanding of IT development and test processes.
· Strong presentation skills required (verbal & written) for all levels of the organization (up to Officer). Must be expert/guru in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Visio.
· Proven track record of delivering on-time, on-quality complex solutions through cross-functional matrix reporting organizations.
· Extremely adaptable and able to work in a stressful environment where critical business demands will face complex technology solutions and deployments.
· Experience with handling confidential and sensitive projects with a proven record of being able to achieve successful deployments while maintaining confidentiality through the project
· Experience with laptop software and laptop OEMs
· Proven record of being able to prioritize ongoing work, new initiatives andpotential resource conflicts while maintaining alignment between multiple internal customers
· Educational Requirements: BS in a Technical discipline, Masters degree a plus. Project Management certification a plus.
Required Qualifications -
· 8-10 years experience in technology development.
Desired Qualifications -
· BS degree in Engineering/Math/Science.
· Experience in Wireless Technologies Standards and Protocols (3GPP, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, antennas, amplifiers, base stations, propagation, interference, spectrum).
· Knowledge of Network Management Systems.
· Knowledge of IT architecture.
· Knowledge of physical design (power, cooling, cabling, operational implications on card, cable, equipment layout, etc.).
· Experience in software design and development.
· Knowledge of Vendor Management (feature roadmap, priorities, requirements, negotiations, bugs, maintenancereleases, quality).
· Experience in Network Management (operation support, performance, troubleshooting, monitoring, optimization,protocols).
