We are hiring a Creative Director to join us in crafting innovative world-class experiences for Windows Mixed Reality. You are a confident and seasoned designer who seeks excellence in creative visualization, interaction and execution. Quality matters to you and you sweat the details, as you combine visionary experiences and inspiring storytelling with research insights and business strategy. Leading by example, you bring amazing stories to life and inspire and lead a varied design team. You are great at maintaining a big picture view, while also zooming in to deliver hands-on excellence across features. In this role you will be key in envisioning, directing and inspiring great designs.
-Help shape the creative vision and design of Mixed Reality experiences, ensuring quality and consistency of design across teams.
-Influence and guide a larger group of designers across other teams working in Mixed Reality.
-Work closely with partner design teams, as well as provide guidance and ensure visual and interactive consistency to ensure continuity of the studio creative vision.
-Explore and design elegant and innovative solutions that help every person and every organization to achieve more.
-Ensure the design team output is sympathetic to product vision and reflects the overall creative direction in a consistent manner.
-Collaborate to lead and inspire the blend of visual design with motion, art and interaction to ensure the products we design are integrated, fluid and responsive.
-Document design decisions for consumption by the broader design studio team, as well as key partner teams.
-Lead the creation and direction of product vision demos and prototypes, which establish and drive product-wide concepts, brand narratives, and experience value propositions.
Qualifications:
-Excellent interpersonal and inspiration skills.
-Aware of trends in design and new technologies.
-Proficiency in the normal design tools, Photoshop, Illustrator+, Sketch3, etc.
-Ability to create high-res visualizations and prototypes.
-8+ years’ experience produce stunning, visual experiences as well as precise design documentation.
-Experience with any of the following are huge plusses: NUI, motion graphics, or film.
-Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in designing for software products or web applications.
