Job Description
The Director Global Hotels Extranet will be responsible for creating and leading the strategy, product development and operational process for Global Hotels for Travelocity.com.Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for defining and executing long and short term strategic plans for Global Hotels across all lines of businesses and regions that will focus on prioritizing product to drive conversion and revenue
* Develop a clear product and service value proposition for Global Hotels
* Responsible for leading a global team to identify, analyze, and implement innovative hotel products including comprehensive product rollout plans
* Key leader responsible for consultative leadership to achieve cross functional alignment and collaboration across the enterprise with IT, line of business leaders, and regional teams to deliver the Global Hotel strategy successfully
* Provide strategic insight into competitor strategies, market trends, product offerings, and customer experiences by performing ongoing competitive and trend analysis
* Leads global team in managing qualitative and quantitative research to understand internal and external partner's product needs and competitive positioning
* Develop the processes, tools, and methodologies that will be used across the enterprise for Global hotel product development and operations
* Create and prepares reporting, and formulates business analytics in support of all Global Hotel strategic initiatives.
* Be a key interface for external global partner hotels

The position will be based in Dallas
The ideal candidate will exhibit the following qualifications and characteristics:
* Bachelors degree or equivalent required
* 8+ yrs experience in business strategy, product marketing, and leadership roles in the hotel industry
* Experience in adapting legacy technology environments to externally facing technology platforms
* Good understanding of data management applications such as Excel/Access, SQL
* Ability to translate strategy to bold action steps and execute them successfully
* Ability to establish influential relationships internally and externally
* Ability/interest in working in a fast paced, dynamic environment on multiple priorities simultaneously
* Ability to manage teams, stakeholders and implementations across global regions.
* Passion to win; results oriented
* Strong leadership and managerial experience and abilities
* Ability to think and act independently as well as collaboratively
* Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
* Excellent analytical and strategic skills
