Key Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for successful delivery of industry specific technology Initiatives. This role is responsible for data mapping, detailed data analysis and metadata analysis; as well as creating and maintaining detailed mapping documents. This individual provides hands-on business knowledge working with database developers, DBA's, data architects, data quality analysts, and other IT teams (experience working with statistical resource a plus). The successful candidate will have expertise in making available, integrating, and optimizing structured and/or unstructured data using database products, technologies, and methods. Typical examples of the deliverables are database designs, information models (logical, physical, dimensional, etc.), data migration plans, and data warehouses.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree
• Minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience working with large data volumes
• Basic understanding of data warehousing principles
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage team members
• Must be detail oriented, service oriented, committed to producing high quality results within strict deadlines, and focused on the achievement of team goals
• Proficiency with SAS in Windows and Unix environments
• Proficiency in using the SAS to perform:
o Complex file manipulation
o Complex Data Step programming
o Data editing and cleansing
o Basic statistical analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with large files with millions of records and diverse formats
Preferred Skills:
• Masters degree
• SAS certification desirable
Professional Skill Requirements:
• Must be able to balance multiple priorities and have a commitment to meticulous documentation.
• Ability to meet travel requirements as needed, Monday- Friday.
• Strong writing and documentation skills; highly organized.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with a broad range of consultants.
