Director User Experience JustAnswer San Francisco

The Director of User Experience leads a team of designers, writers, and researchers to achieve key revenue and user loyalty initiatives in partnership with both Product and Engineering. You will work closely with product owners, engineers, and core UX team to create a world-class user experience for JustAnswer customers. As the lead for the UX team you will mentor our designers to enhance the overall quality, value, and experience of our products.
A typical day on the job in this role may include any (or all) of the following duties:


Lead a user-centered design team and contractor pool.
Translate user research and analytics findings into actionable and measurable design improvements that directly impact eCommerce revenue and usability.
Lead the UX team in weekly sprints using the Agile methodology in an A/B testing environment.
You are the expert in all aspects of user experience including driving customer insights through research and interaction models. This is the most senior UX position in the company reporting to our EVP of Engineering.

The ideal candidate for this role will also have:


10+ years of experience creating compelling user designs ideally for successful, high-volume, eCommerce websites.   
5+ years of experience managing, motivating, and growing high-potential design staff.
Proven track record of leading a design team to achieve rapid eCommerce revenue growth and user loyalty targets in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Exceptional design sense, business savvy, and collaboration skills.
Strong people leadership skills.
In depth understanding of design systems, tools and processes.
Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Visual Design or a relevant field.
