Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in finance or business a plus
Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter
Series 7 and 63 licenses
10+ years of experience in the family office and/or institutional asset management business
Investment management, consultative relationship management and/or sales experience
The Purpose of Your Role
FFOS serves single (SFO) and multi-family office (MFO) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) investors where complex issues accompany the benefits of extraordinary wealth. Through a combination of service, technology and wealth management products and reporting services we provide an integrated solution unique to the family office and UHNW marketplace.
The Vice President, Investment Director (ID) will have responsibility for developing and maintaining investment-focused relationships with up to 50 of FFOS’ largest and most sophisticated single and multi-family office clients and prospects within the region. The objective is to become a primary strategic resource for clients and to identify and close large investment mandates.
The Value You Deliver
Developing and maintaining direct relationships with senior investment executives in FFOS’ largest and most sophisticated clients and prospective clients in the region
Earning the trust of these professionals and ultimately being the first call whenever they have an investment problem or need that requires a solution
Helping clients solve their investment problems both with best-in-class Fidelity solutions and through other investment providers as appropriate, when an in house capability does not exist
Working and communicating closely with the FFOS sales and relationship management teams on their prospects and clients, and leading them in supporting and furthering a sophisticated investment dialogue with these firms
Capturing key investment themes from clients and communicating them to other family office professionals and the FFOS team
Collaborating and sharing resources with the Investment Directors in other regions
Contributing ideas to the internal and external product development effort by identifying and communicating client demand
Engaging as a full participant in the cultural fabric of FFOS, and, over time, becoming a leader in that culture
Exhibiting Fidelity and FFOS values, including a spirit of collaboration and partnership with FFOS Associates and other Fidelity Associates
The Skills You Bring
Your substantial knowledge and experience in all asset classes, including the full spectrum of alternative asset categories
You have a passion for investing, continuous learning and coaching
You maintain a deep knowledge of markets and investment trends, opportunities and solutions across public and private markets, and are able to engage in dialogue around these topics
You have very strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
Your demonstrable relationship development and management skills
You have a track record of getting things done coupled with creative thinking and strong problem solving skills
You have an understanding of the SFO and MFO segments of the UHNW market
