Tanezumab Global Director Proj. Management Launch Readiness Pfizer New York

The Global Tanezumab Project Management Launch Lead is a mission critical role, responsible for: 1) strategic development and overseeing of the overall Launch Milestone Plan, including the identification and mitigation of risks, triaging of action items for the team, leadership of SWOT teams to address issues, and coordination of cross-functional activities 2) providing depth of knowledge of industry best practices, and strategy for operational execution of the launch plan; and, 3) aiding in development of our leadership reporting and communication plan. This role will be responsible for coordinating and driving forward strategic solutions in support of the Global Commercial Team and will partner with Regional teams
This position will be based in NYHQ and reports to the VP, Global Tanezumab Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Global Tanezumab Project Management Launch Lead role will be responsible for 1) development of the processes by which we ensure a highly successful, well-coordinated across work streams, exhaustively thought through, and flawlessly executed product launch; 2) providing strategic launch support to the Global Commercial team to ensure integration of best practices, and thorough unpacking of key launch issues; and 3) aiding the Global Team Lead in development of a leadership communication and engagement plan to set and manage leadership expectations, and ensure constant awareness of the overall project plan, key risks, and mitigating actions. All strategic project management processes for launch to be led by the Global Tanezumab Launch Lead with strong collaboration and alignment across co-promote and cross functional teams.

Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:


Be a strategic thought partner across all launch activities in order to surface potential interdependencies across work streams, and pressure test key launch assumptions.
Oversee development of a detailed, but tangible and actionable, Launch Milestone Plan in partnership with work stream leads that can be utilized to seamlessly update work stream status, activities, and interdependencies to ensure on time execution of key miles to effectively launch of Tanezumab in across the globe. Project Management Plan will need to remain constantly current and evolving, to provide real-time insight into our roadmap to launch success
Partner with the regional Tanzeumab team, global project managers, and Alliance managers to ensure alignment between regional and Global Launch Milestone Plans
Develop a roadmap and process for leadership reporting, communication and engagement to manage leadership expectations around launch progress
Partner with the Pfizer and Lilly Tanezumab Alliance Managers to coordinate inputs for all alliance leadership steering committee meetings
Infuse launch excellence learnings and best practices into launch by partnering with internal launch excellence organizations, as well as gathering external best practices
Oversee development of Tanezumab onboarding training
Identify interdependencies between all work streams to ensure strategic planning of all activities, as well as detailed execution and hand-offs between activities
Identify and escalate key risks and issues to Brand and Cross-Functional team members, as appropriate
Identify and drive SWOT teams and workshops as necessary to address risks and issues (including delays in meeting milestones); e.g., competitive strategy workshops
Develop trusted relationships with alliance partners and work steam leaders to ensure smooth, efficient delivery against stated objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualification:

Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
~7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Exceptional product management skills, with demonstrated previous strategic product management experience
Demonstrated leadership of cross functional matrix teams: Influences without formal authority, understands role/ position in the wider context; builds and maintains strong relationships of trust; able to influence without authority to set joint goals and share lessons learned; experience working in large organization across multiple functional partner lines
Ability to gain alignment: Effective listening and communication skills – gathers input from key stakeholders; communicates scientific and commercial strategies into clear updates for senior leadership.
Demonstrated success in a managing a strategic partnership or similar activity in a complex global environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
Independent worker with demonstrated trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate internal organization/processes
Strong business acumen, analytical skills and demonstrated flexibility
Comfort with ambiguity, and complex “white space” environments
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree strongly preferred.
~7 years of Marketing, Field Sales or Operations experience preferred.
Experience with a launch product preferred
NON-STANDARD TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

NYHQ based role with primarily domestic travel of up to 25%
