The IT Director is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and functions within PELCO in alignment with established business goals and strategy road-map. The position manages established IT policies and processes and ensures the technology infrastructure is aligned with, and supports, PELCO’s business requirements. The qualified candidate is responsible for process and performance improvement, system enhancements and implementations of all technology applications and operations.
The position requires an experienced IT professional with a solid technical background along with the ability to manage and motivate a team. The ideal candidate is experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and processes and managing software applications and IT systems that meet business objectives within the limits of budget, time and company specifications. The IT Director position is in Fresno, California and reports to PELCO’s Chief Financial Officer.
Plan, define and direct the organizational IT goals and activities based on company strategy and business needs.
Directly manage IT applications and infrastructure organization.
Accountable for the departmental budget and for key performance indicators.
Participate as an integral and active member in the strategic planning process of the IT function.
Provide management for direct reports, actively developing skills and addressing skill gaps.
Oversee all technology applications and operations and evaluate them according to established company priorities and goals.
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by PELCO leadership.
Analyze the business requirements of key stake-holders to determine their technology needs.
Review and manage software applications to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report recommendations to PELCO leadership.
Develop strategies and make recommendations on the selection of third-party vendors
Management of various servers and their applications.
Qualifications
This job might be for you if you have, are, or possess:
BS /BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA, a plus
At least ten years’ proven experience as IT Director, or similar role.
Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems, and software applications
Sound understanding of hardware and software design and applications, including Agile, SalesForce and programmatic tools.
Programming experience in SalesForce, .Net, C# and SQL.
Experience managing complex software applications using object oriented programming concepts.
Proven track record in increasing program operating efficiency and adapting to new requirements.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
Outstanding communication abilities.
Strong strategy and leadership abilities and can contribute individually as well
