The Director, Market and Capability Strategy, will be responsible for defining, documenting, and managing the market and capability strategy for PayPal Inc. This will require working across different PayPal teams, products, and regions to create world-wide capability strategy. This leader will be responsible for ensuring the PayPal technologies and platforms are world-ready.
Reporting into the Vice President, Global Content & Technology, this person will lead the expansion of PayPal’s capabilities in new markets in order to fulfill local customer needs for the movement and management of money by providing global capability strategy.


The role will be a managerial position responsible for synthesizing the language and capability strategy into a global strategy. The role will directly impact the process in which language versions of PayPal products are created. The overseeing of target setting and investment of team resources is an important aspect of this role.

In order to be successful in this role, the individual must have a solid knowledge in the financial sector and at the same time software development and globalization. The individual must have proven experience of working with and running multifunctional teams including localization, software development, software quality assurance, Line of Business tools, operations, user experience, site management, in order to deliver compliant and locally relevant customer experiences globally.

We are looking for a unique combination of skills – a proven global leader who has worked with governments, language bodies (NGOs) and entities across multiple countries and cultures, especially for emerging financial markets and those currently underserved by the existing banking infrastructure in Africa, India, SE Asia, Latam & Brazil, and statutory minority languages globally.
