Global Supply Chain Director Sourcing McDonald's Chicago

The Global. Supply Chain Director reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Supply and is accountable for ongoing category leadership which includes: supplier engagement and development, risk management, price projections/forecasts, strategic sourcing reviews, optimization and utilization of benchmarks to validate and improve processes. The role requires building and enhancing strong supplier working relationships to drive performance excellence. Key stakeholders include suppliers, McDonald's Global Markets, Owner/Operator leadership, regional leadership/staff, senior management and other McDonald's departments.

Strategic Sourcing Reviews/ Category Optimization

· Raw Material Consolidation



· Emerging Issues management oversight



· Growth Plan execution within category



· Risk management commodity execution



· Category sustainability planning and execution



Supplier Excellence:



· Pricing Protocol development



· Competitive Validation reporting



· Supplier McDonald’s Business Unit partnership



· Supplier Diversity support



· Contingency supply planning



· Product council leadership



Category Cost Savings Process Management:



· Business reviews



· Supplier Financial Health



· Supplier Sustainability support

Alignment with other departments including Global Markets, Treasury, Menu Innovation, Marketing and Business Insights.


Minimum Requirements

• College degree required
• Leadership experience in supply chain required.
• Experience in the agricultural sector or meat industry preferred.
• Experience in advanced commodity risk management preferred.
• Experienced with a restaurant organization is a plus.
• Seasoned communicator with an understanding and track record for orchestration of information.
• Ability to demonstrate how your strategic thinking ability has had impacts on your company or the industries in which you work.
• Track record of driving positive change in an organization
• Ability to create a business plan to initiate, resource and complete/large-scale projects and initiatives
• Able to persuade and motivate a team including direct reports, peers, suppliers and management
• Demonstrated accountability in work area - highly self-accountable
• Cognizant of McDonald's core values and is able to represent them regularly
