This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing the North American sales and marketing strategy consistent with the Company’s overall mission, vision, and strategic objectives covering all offered products. The Sales Director will define a competitive product portfolio needed to ensure business growth in identified market segments. The position operates as first point of contact for primary customers and is responsible to detail customer needs and translate those needs into business case justified sales opportunities. The position will participate in or lead the marketing efforts within North America to ensure brand recognition and acceptance within the strategic customer base.
Develop, implement and execute the North American sales strategy for all products
Lead or assist in the development and execution of product sales forecasts and reports needed to support financial business (monthly, quarterly and yearly) planning
Define a competitive product portfolio requirement based on analysis of current and future strategic market segment needs
Monitor and understand trends in governmental wheeled vehicle sales which would expand the organizations sales volume and business footprint
Develop and recommend prioritization of business opportunities based on best value
Prepare business case analysis for all sales opportunities and present to senior management for review and approval
Identify and maintain select key customer accounts for potential sales opportunities
Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to business growth
Assesses customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
Responds to complex customer inquiries
Monitors customer feedback on product performance in order to help customers meet their needs
Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding the customer base
Implements a marketing and sales strategy to meet established sales or market share targets
Develops long-term sales plans for key customers, monitors and adapts sales activities so Company and customer objectives can be met
Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify marketing opportunities for our product
Lead or assist in all marketing activities within North America to ensure brand recognition and continued acceptance within decided market segments
Manage and develop organizational talent to position the organization for growth and succession planning
Professional representation of the Company and products at industry events
Ensure team follows current company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws to conduct US Government and International business
Travel- Frequent (may include foreign travel)

Minimum Education and Experience
BA/BS degree (MBA a plus) with applicable work experience
Demonstrated career growth with increasing responsibility
Minimum of 10-12 years sales experience in a comparable industry
Demonstrated experience in the government sales and acquisition is a plus
A past track record of organization diversity experience in terms of positions held and roles served
Active US government issued Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a global, matrix organizational team structure
