Key Responsibilities:

Take a pro-active part in the design and execution of India Strategic Business Plan (SBP) pertaining to people management, organizational design & competencies to ensure that India achieves the critical objectives of double digit growth as well as being the Employer of Choice in a highly competitive market and industry. Ensure that global HR Strategies are properly assessed and accordingly embedded in the India SBP. Lead the execution and control of the global SBP for the respective support area in the location and coordinate this with global partners where needed. Ensure harmonized implementation in all relevant locations (Lead, Multi-functional and Sales Force countries)
Act as a strong partner to the India GM and the Senior Management to develop a high-performance organization and further improve the team culture Understand and identify cultural practices and sensitivities in order to reconcile with new international and modern business practices as part of the ongoing change management. Support the GM and Senior Management in the implementation of change Maintain a high level of communication with Management and contribute to the decision-making process of structuring and developing the team for the organization. Actively support business initiatives and business needs with effective HR measures and promote positive employee relations in the work environment Be a critical part of the EM HR Leadership team that determines overall HR Strategy, programs and initiatives for the EM Region by representing the needs of India Maintain a high level of communication with Management and contribute to the decision- making process pertaining to the organizational design and people development. Act in a (internal) customer centric solution orientated way. Actively support business initiatives by seeking practical solutions, accessing Group best practices and staying Policy compliant- while keeping “speed” and “simplicity” in mind In conjunction with EM HR functions contribute to, adjust, develop and implement practices as well as support initiatives that achieve high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, people development and company/social teambuilding initiatives and activities Ensure that all aspects of staffing, employee relations, employee development, and compensation & benefits for all employees of the market and location are delivered timely and in accordance with relevant labor and commercial legislation, in line with corporate guidelines, the global policy manual and modern HR Management practice Support/drive initiatives and efficient processes, in close co-ordination with EM HR partners in the areas of CoE Talent Learning/Training, Leadership, Performance + Succession, Talent Acquisition/Recruiting as well as Organizational development efforts. Identify training / skills/ competency needs within the organization and develop mid- term and annual training plans & programs in cooperation with Senior and Line management and in alignment with EM HR and Talent. Coordinate career development, succession planning and Talent management needs in partnering with Senior Management and in coordination with EM HR Talent Ensure that skills and qualities required for each particular job is properly evaluated and respective Job Descriptions evaluated and updated. Ensure smooth processes for talent acquisition and transfer activities in support functions in close cooperation with CoE Rewards and lead the recruitment for the Senior Management team of the market Implement and cooperate with EM Rewards on development of compensation & benefit programs in alignment with the strategic business objectives. Ensure that the framework for local compensation programs is competitive in the market place and compatible with the objective of recruiting and retaining a strong workforce. Ensure compliance of local benefits programs with GSMS and in line with corporate guidelines Oversee all aspects of Rewards for the Market, International Mobility, eHR, and Compensation & Benefits Manage personnel planning & budgets set by the India Management. Based on given EM guidelines execute the process of annual salary rounds and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with GSMS- process and in close cooperation with the GM, EM HR and EM Rewards In cooperation and coordination with EM HR develop, update and implement all HR policies and procedures Lead the HR team members in office and secondary tier countries (Multi-functional and Sales Force if applicable) and give functional direction according to the global, as well as local strategies and concepts - ensuring a harmonized approach to all relevant HR processes (one voice to the customer) Define organizational structure, set objectives, and manage workloads and results to achieve goals while adopting best practices and achieving continuous process improvement. Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strategic thinker Practical and speed in execution Strong inter- personal and active listening skills, must have ability to interact at the highest levels of the company Strong team player An acute sense of business management and administration A strong dedicated understanding towards the Group and customer needs MS – office skills, SAP experience is a plus Experience in managing complex mid to large size projects within HR Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills to all employees including senior management
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma or degree from educational entity focusing on Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Personnel Administration or related field At least 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management of multinational company with experience in HR Management, Rewards and Development. Proven strategic HR business partner, who supported business partners AND contributed to the further development of standard/global HR tools and programs Experience in handling complicated employee relations issues including union drives/organizing attempts, discrimination claims, sexual harassment investigations and downsizing. Experience in leading HR team on acquisition/divestiture and integration of a new organization is a plus. Excellent oral and written knowledge of English
