Director Programmatic Media SEPHORA San Francisco

As Director, Programmatic Media you will be responsible for one of the largest budgets in the P&L, driving key business KPIs like sales, new client acquisition, and traffic for Sephora.com and Sephora.ca via programmatic channels such as paid search, display, and paid social. Reporting to the Senior Director of Media, you will define, execute and optimize digital programmatic media channel strategies and initiatives. In addition, you will:
Create and drive best-in-class Programmatic media strategies that deliver against company objectives within search, display, social and video channels for the Sephora US and CA businesses
Develop strategies for scalable and successful deployment of Sephora Co-Op and Personalization/CRM initiatives within Programmatic channels
Deliver credible thought leadership on Programmatic’s role in the Marketing ecosystem, providing a multi-year vision of the program and lead proactive insights on channel opportunities through both short-term and long-term business lenses
Lead communication of Programmatic’s tech/data needs with cross-functional partners (Product Management, Analytics, IT, etc.) to ensure seamless deployment of digital programmatic campaigns and effectively report results to all stakeholders
Track innovation within the industry, and evaluate and identify new partners and technology that will drive best-in-class channel strategies for Sephora
Manage and mentor a team of five Programmatic channel specialists, providing day-to-day guidance as well as career growth and development within Sephora
Direct and manage external agency and vendor teams of 25+
Ensure team manages and efficiently optimizes programs within budget goals, working closely with Investment lead on budget opportunities

We’re excited about you if you have:

9+ years’ of relevant experience, ideally executing performance online advertising campaigns
Proven track record leading/building teams and mentoring/nurturing more junior talent
Technical and strategic understanding of programmatic display buying required, particularly in paid search and display
Experience working with Ad Technology stacks and programmatic implementation processes
Strong knowledge of marketing technologies & tools (Web analytics, tag management, ad servers, attribution)
Strong analytical skills and understanding of ecommerce & retail KPIs
Self-starter with high degree of motivation, ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects
Superior organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and take action based on data
Ability to prioritize, work cooperatively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an exceedingly fast paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
