The Product Director leads the product definition and roadmap for the Conviva devices ecosystem. The position secures the Conviva’s sensor adoption and revenue growth through evangelism, community engagement, and a vibrant solutions ecosystem among developers globally. As the product owner and developer evangelist-in-chief, you focus on maximizing the device reach of the Conviva platform as to pursue the profitability of existing solutions and further enabling hyper-growth strategies for the company. You work cross-functionally to successfully execute product evolution and possess a sound understanding of full stack application development. You must own a unique blend of in-depth technical backbone in application development and devices, business savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to execute swiftly and successfully.

Market Analysis, Requirements, and Product Definition - Focus on customer needs, technical ability to drive analysis, definition, requirements, pricing, and business model
Evaluate complex technological options, design solutions, and jointly work with engineering in an agile mode to implement solutions and iterations
Drive alignment for device product plans, execution, and roadmap - Build and manage the roadmap to support goals with a cross-functional team. Initiate and prioritize with sales and engineering, assist in determining the best technical implementation methods – Ensure flawless execution of the plan with the team
Field Support and Customer Presentations – Present, demo and sells Conviva’s solutions to customers, application developers, video player & device partners and bring market feedback for further iteration and improvement
Some travel required to attend domestic and international customer visits, internal team meetings, developer conferences, and other events, with speaking opportunities
What you bring to the role
BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Coding School Certification degree in Full Stack and/or web/app development preferred but not required
Your customers will be video application developers – developer empathy and experience working with application and web developer teams is highly desirable
You must understand the application developer ecosystem on web, iOS, and Android – the tools, the development process, and trends in application development practices
Proven experience managing complex technical solution in related media, television, SaaS, Big Data, and entertainment industry (Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Product/Project Manager)
Sound technical understanding and interest in devices including OS, embedded system, browsers, middleware, and application framework in the TV and video streaming space
Foundation in HTML5, web technologies, as well as Advertising technology. Curiosity and ability to learn new components quickly
Able to build relationships and establish substantial creditability. Sufficient presence and technical expertise to impact the business powerfully with the confidence to act swiftly and a team around initiatives
Proven ability to define and present software solutions, product strategy, roadmap, and functional level. Ability to successfully communicate the tactical and strategic elements of the product plan
Effective oral and written communication skills for maintaining strong working relationships with other cross-functional teams and external partners
Demonstrated skills in working in geographically and culturally diverse groups
Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets, results, and deadlines consistently
