Purpose

Acts as a “Strategic Business Partner” and “Coach” to the organization in all relevant HR management issues and leads an HR team to provide optimal HR strategies and services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best talent.

Key Responsibilities

Defines the HR Strategy aligned with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Market priorities and manages the execution and control of the plan for multiple DC locations across North America in coordination with global partners where applicable.
Ensures harmonized implementation of strategy across all relevant locations. Drives consistent optimization, harmonization, and standardization of HR processes and systems across all North American Market DCs. Defines and executes the strategy to manage external labor providers across multiple DCs. Manages, reviews, and controls external contracts and negotiations. Ensures compliance with local labor law. Leads and Manages all negotiations and relations with workers groups and tariff committees regarding all DC-related tariff and legislative agreements (as applicable). Defines and constantly reviews shift systems and shift benefits across different industries to implement best practices in close alignment with the mid-to-long term DC volume and forecast plans. Maintains a high level of communication with Management and contributes to the decision-making process by structuring and preparing HR team to best support the organization. Actively supports business initiatives and business needs with effective HR measures to promote positive employee relations in the work environment. Ensures all aspects of staffing, employee relations, employee development, compensation & benefits for all employees in their respective area of the adidas group are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant labor/commercial legislation, corporate guidelines, and modern HR Management practices. In close coordination with Talent and global partners, supports and drives development initiatives in the areas of Training, career/succession planning, and other Organizational Development efforts. Ensures smooth processes for recruitment and transfer activities for support functions in close cooperation with global competence centers. Lead the recruitment for first and second line Management for designated partnerships. Manages personnel planning, annual salary rounds, and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with adidas’ processes and guidelines. Ensures strong HR reporting for respective functional areas in close cooperation with Controlling and global partners. Lead HR teams in different DC locations to give functional direction on global and regional strategies ensuring a harmonized approach to all relevant HR programs (one voice to the customer). Serve as the HR site lead for a specific DC location.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strategic Planning (Strategic Workforce Management experience a plus)
Experience in managing complex mid to large size projects within HR
Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills to all employees including senior management. Ability to handle complicated employee relations issues including union drives/organizing attempts, discrimination claims, sexual harassment investigations and downsizing. Ability to coach, guide, manage, and develop direct reports. Ability to effectively delegate work as appropriate and provide individual goals and development plans to staff. MS-Office skills, SAP experience is a plus
Minimum Qualifications

Four year college or university degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Personnel Administration or other related field. Masters Degree in related field a plus. Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in multi-national Human Resources Management with experience in HR Management, Rewards, and Development. Proven strategic HR business partner with experience supporting business partners and contributing to the further development of standard/global HR tools and programs Experience leading an HR team during acquisition/divestiture and integration of a new organization is a plus.
