Director Business Development RICS Hong Kong

Job Description: • 2-minute read •
• Use market research, customer insights and data to inform product development, identify new business opportunities to support RICS growth in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
• Develop and execute a short and long-term business development strategy for growth in commercial revenues, professional qualification, and standards adoption.
• Work with prospects, clients and government institutes to showcase RICS value proposition, to understand their goals and aspirations, to match their needs with RICS standards, trainings, conferences and qualification to help them achieve their aspirations and expand RICS impact in the region.
• Assess, recommend and implement how we move from tactical to strategic and consultative sales and transform marketing functions to be informed by market and customer insights to generate interest and inquiries.
• Build and lead a high performing team that is motivated to continuously drive up the results, their deployment of best practices, sales and marketing strategies and their collaboration across RICS.
• Identify and build channels for B2C and B2B business development
• Achieve high level of customer satisfaction by providing top quality products and services.
• Engage internal stakeholders to line up resources across functions and regions to support the achievement of our commercial objectives.
Key Achievements & Responsibilities • Delivery of regional business plan and corporate objectives
• Adoption of RICS professional statements and international standards by target accounts
• Delivery of regional long-term business development strategy
• Improved ROI for Marketing activities
• Successful launches of new products (trainings and conferences)
• Delivery of sales targets and professional Qualification growth via consultative/solution selling approach
• Departmental engagement – individually and collectively
• Building and retaining of a high performing and highly engaged team
• Effective management of internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitation of cross team collaboration
Experience Required • Results and objectives focused holding themselves accountable for performance.
• A track record of selling solutions and services with a consultative approach to global corporate accounts and government institutes.
• Previous solid sales experience in built environment will be highly preferred; in se;;omg commercial conference, training, learning products, and membership will be an advantage.
• A strategic thinker; able to rise above the day-to-day and think longer term and bring a broader understanding of the marketplace to shape strategies and plans.
• A deep understanding of the core competences of marketing, account and sales team management, establish credibility and build strong commercial relationship with senior professionals in the industry.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to build consensus across a complex organisation.
• A track record of building highly engaged and high performing teams. An engaging leader who articulates a clear direction and inspire individuals and teams to achieve the best.
• A track record in nurturing and developing talent and managing performance effectively.
