European Category Commercial Insights Director Diageo London

This role is responsible for creating new opportunities for growth in our categories, challenging the status quo in terms of category development and delivering excellence in Execution so that we win in Europe and drive towards our ambition. It will deliver a much bolder vision of Diageo’s future in Category Development and Management, and ensure our tools and promotional tactics are fit for all customers. With a diverse portfolio that spans across Europe, the individual will also be responsible for the collation of all Customer/Commercial Insights across Europe through the country category teams. This Leader will be fluent in marrying Customer/Commercial insights with the Consumer Demand Spaces and developing new Thinking in the way TBA shows up, and is purchased.
Key Accountibilities

•Setting the processes and direction for how the total Europe Category and Insights (c50) community operates delivering performance breakthrough.
•To deliver the commercial plan YOY through Customers.
•Lead the transformation of Category Management and Development.
•To guide the delivery of all the ‘Below the Line’ category strategies and growth drivers across all brands that grow market share, penetration and equity across our brands and categories.
•Create ‘Multi-brand’ growth drivers
•To transform our capabilities across Europe in Category Development and Management. To codify the PA approaches and develop category and 365 solutions fit for the ‘future’.
To work cross-functionally to deliver the Channel and Trade Strategies and Category strategies & propositions

Qualifications and Experience Required

A strong and engaging leader with the previous experience of driving a vision and transforming the approach of Category Management and development within a global/multi matrixed organisation. You’ll possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to build relationships effectively across a global business.
A commercial thinker with significant credentials across Commercial and Marketing disciplines with strength and depth in Customer and Channel understanding. You’ll be comfortable analysing data and insights and translating them into a transformational execution plan.
