eBay is seeking a dynamic, customer focused and results-orientated Director of Marketplaces (MP) and GCX Initiatives for our North American market supporting the Global Customer Experience (GCX) Organization who will strategically partner with regions and initiatives to shape a great customer experience and effectively operationalize programs within GCX.
The successful candidate will be an influential leader, a strategic thinker and excellent business partner with strong business knowledge and a strong operational and program background who can lead and inspire a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee a regional portfolio of programs and projects that connects to the global portfolio including resourcing to deliver against the plan, ensuring scope, schedule and targets are defined and delivered
Conduct long-term planning and lead complex cross-functional programs and engagements that contribute to the strategic direction of the business
Engage early to partner and consult with executive sponsors, initiative owners and regional leaders to drive strategic focus, ensure roadmap delivery, mitigate for risk and issue resolution
Collaborate and build partnerships with global and cross-functional leaders inside and beyond GCX and within own organization to ensure successful alignment
Bring transparency to the regional and global plan, ensuring appropriate awareness and operational readiness for change including maintaining a roadmap for the region
Direct and coordinate activities across program and project teams ensuring the most critical of initiatives are resourced, progress occurs on schedule and within budget
Ensure program and project teams remain aligned with strategy, that key changes and decisions are managed transparently and roadblocks are removed
Support development of our overall operational capability across people, processes and tools
Grow leadership capabilities within and across the team and business.
Foster a climate of continual learning, business improvement and innovation
Qualifications:
15+ years relevant operational and leadership experience
Minimum of 10 years of program and project management experience
Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale change management within a complex and geographically dispersed organization
Ability to present strategies and goals in an inspirational manner to large cross-functional, regional or global teams
Ability to adapt approach quickly and easily
Can make sound decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations, synthesizing information from multiple sources and use it for effective decision-making
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written & verbal)
Demonstrate strong performance management and people development skills
Experience with large-scale contact centers, global operating environments, or eCommerce / Tech is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
Location & Travel:
Strong preference to fill the position in San Jose
Primary work locations are San Jose and Salt Lake City with some international travel
Travel requirements will vary with assignments. Expect 10 - 15% travel.
Education: Bachelors Degree, MBA, or equivalent
