Role Purpose & Key Accountabilities
The purpose of this job is to lead the Agro agendas in the India region in order to ensure core portfolio operational continuity (Potato current complexities) and Key portfolio growth in the most critical market across the region.
This role is critical for operational continuity and leapfrog innovation. India has a very complex Agro regulation agenda and also a complex network of Agro & Co-Man Suppliers that this leader will need to manage. This role has significant interface with government, other companies, industry bodies and NGO community.
Lead all the India region Agro function
Lead the development of both people and production Agro systems
Lead the Potato storage & logistics agenda in multiple locations through direct reports
Deliver the Agro productivity to the India P&L.
Lead and continue de development of the India Farmin model: Farming Model
9 states, 24000 farmers for potatoes
3 states for potato seed production
One state for Oats
One state for corn
One state for citrus
10-12 years of Relevant Business/Supply Chain wide experience in cross-cultural environment with multinational organization
Solid 10+ years with Agro-Business knowledge
Solid 5-7 years experience in delivering productivity across SC Agrobusiness being a key focal point & enabler
Extensive experience in using and implementing advanced Agro sourcing methodologies, tools and technologies
Experience in defining, developing and implementing productivity methodologies & processes in a geographically diversified company, with multiple stakeholders
Experience in supporting development of procurement of Agro products
Knowledge of delivering process and tools related trainings
Skilled in managing across a dispersed team of business stakeholders; must have strong selling skills
Agriculture Graduate; Post graduate degree in Business is preferred
Relevant functional performance management, compliance management and financial controlling experience
Analytical Experience in defining and creating procurement reports & dashboards
Solid English skills (Multilingual) a plus
Agro-business knowledge (Must)
Able to communicate business strategies to suppliers ( Farmers) as well as internal/external stakeholders (Company and Government)
Effective people leader including ability to lead cross functional teams (Large Farmers team spread across a large region)
Track record of being able to drive cross-functional support and resources for projects to deliver results on time.
Effective project manager who is able to articulate and escalate hurdles quickly and keep driving the projects forward.
Strong collaboration/matrix management
Understands and manages key business drivers
High integrity: won't compromise values to get results
