The Marketing & Communications team is seeking a Director Content Studio, based out of our Berlin, Germany office. In this role, you will live and breathe content in all its veracity from infographics to animation and videos, to narratives, speeches and white papers. The role is directly responsible for the creation, quality and evolution of HERE materials and will create and oversee a centralized workforce for content creation to support the Marketing & Comms organization and the company as a hole. You will lead a team of highly talented and fun people tasked with creating core content that can be used in multiple formats across multiple audiences and tactics/channels and for ensuring excellence and consistency. Your department will oversee all agency management activities related to content creation. You will also facilitate one unified company-wide content library.
Lead collaboration with internal Product, Sales, Brand, Design, Marketing and Communications teams to understand the HERE product portfolio and to stay connected to evolving business goals and strategies and to translate the HERE strategy into inspiring and relevant assets.
Lead development and execution of content creation to support these strategies, including, but not limited to videos, infographics, white papers, brochures, web assets, etc) and ensure alignment to broader programs and themes
Collaborate on development of creative concepts to constantly drive the excellence of our content
Be a champion for next generation content creation ideas, fostering an environment of constant experimentation and learning to improve impact
Monitor progress and evaluate performance with the purpose of improving resource allocation, efficiency and internal stakeholder satisfaction
Recruit and manage a high performing team across multiple geographies that can deliver on content requirements and goals
Manage an annual budget across content creation/acquisition
Build, own and manage content library
Ensure that technology underlying HERE content creation, deployment and storage is able to deliver to the company’s requirements via evolving technical environments
Ensure content reflects HERE core values, quality standards and principles
Manage a team of internal and external people across a variety of content creation related disciplines such as editors, copy writers, designers, planners.
Qualifications
You should have a minimum of ten years in a senior communications/marketing or content creation role
You should have a track record in business and technology communication, ideally with experience in software and automotive technology. Expertise in B2C communication is an advantage.
You should have extensive experience in building structures and leading teams within larger corporations
You have extensive experience in managing editorial and creative teams
You should have excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee complex projects
You live and breathe content and are able to turn complex topics into easy to digest stories
Excellent writing skills
10-15 years of experience in senior content /editorial or creative department role, ideally managing teams across multiple geographies
Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
Deep experience managing agencies and budgets, expert at defining and managing creative briefs, developing scope of work and overseeing agency retainers
Experience building, nurturing, and leading high-performing world-class content teams
A strong "can do" mentality, able to build from scratch, set up structure and processes and find solutions to problems, rather than dwelling on the problems themselves
Ability to understand the larger business context to propose integrated content strategies across B2B, B2C and B2D audiences
Excellent relationship building skills across functions and responsibilities
Highly effective communication and presentation skills and can work easily with all levels of the company
Ability to think laterally and provide innovative strategies to maximise the opportunities to utilize content in a variety of different formats and media
Fluent in English (verbal and written), ideally native speaker or bi-lingual
Ready to travel roughly 20% of your time for internal meetings, agency reviews, or other business meetings
