The Director will be responsible for management of the media and publishing businesses for Nickelodeon and VIMN properties with local and international partners across EMEA.
The Director will be charged with nurturing the existing licensee base and delivering growth; forging new partnerships, securing new business - via formats, efficiencies and/or scale internationally.
Internal collaboration is a critical function, satisfying local needs/concerns and ensuring creative viability on publishing products.
The Director will have a direct report and PA support; reporting to Vice President, International Content (Media/Publishing).
Participate in setting, tracking and delivering quarterly and annual revenue targets, line of business level and at the cluster level
Work with senior management to know and understand the larger corporate goals for the franchises. Develop publishing, home video strategies and ensure they are in line with the larger corporate goals
Work with agents and publishing/CP licensees directly to drive relationship, focus, brand growth and retail exposure.
Negotiate and close significant value agreements across single and multiple territories. Initiate, manage and negotiate contracts for new deals and renewals
Develop cross-category plans, aligning and embracing emerging digital trends with established physical presence.
Evaluate, revise and approve Publishing/Media marketing initiatives, business and line plans
Ensure all activity contributes to wider local integrated marketing campaigns with consumer product licensees and the channel(s) – working to achieve a 360° plan.
Think 360 – ensure internal support and approval in local teams in all dealings
Work with stakeholders in Editorial, Creative, Brand Management and Sales to ensure cohesion/understanding of common goals and strategy direction.
Support our existing partners to facilitate growth and additional sales
Seek new business by looking for new license, format and distribution opportunities.
Think international with scale and efficiencies, identifying and sharing best practices
Communicate our plans and results to Content and Super Team and the division at large
Work with the operations and creative teams to plan visual line plans by publisher
Attend relevant tradeshows and key partner/territory meetings (Travel is required)
Evaluate and analyze market trends and competition to fill voids in product category
Conduct annual or semi-annual business reviews with licensees
