Director Pricing Deployment AIG New York

As the Pricing Deployment Director, this individual will lead the Rater Development & Support team to on-board raters efficiently, to develop Pricing Datamart & Operational Reporting, and to develop an end-to-end feedback loop with key stakeholders including the modeling team, the rater development team, the user community (e.g. the technical and field underwriters), and our IT partners.
• Lead a team of 8-10 developers both on-shore and off-shore team members and vendor resources to develop an agile rate onboarding process. Partner with IT to develop a self-service onboarding wizard. Develop automated validation processes to monitor the quality of the deployed solution over time. Partner with the rater development team to address issues quickly.
• Recruit and build the Rater Development & Support team.
• Lead the development team to prepare the required documentation & artifact for the end-to-end deployment cycle throughout DEV, QA, UAT and PROD. Manage project planning including key dependencies, deliverables and delivery timelines.
• Lead the development team to develop Pricing Datamart to support downstream monitoring and reporting needs
• Lead the team to design and implement operational dashboard to monitor usage and data quality
• Provide periodic (weekly/bi-weekly) usage update on existing and new raters; anticipate potential risks and escalate, as appropriate in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Chief Underwriting Office and the user community to provide timely feedback on rater usage. Liaison with the user community to solicit ongoing user input and to communicate enhancement/update releases.
• Collaborate with the Chief Technology Office to ensure the pricing solutions adhere to the corporate architect and solution design framework
• Interface with Legal and Chief Data Office to ensure the handling of the data is in compliance to the AIG corporate guideline
• May occasionally conduct hands-on solution development work

Position Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
• 10+ years in insurance data analytics and systems related area
• Strong Project Management skills. Strong execution and results orientation
• Experience and knowledge in commercial property casualty insurance is preferred
• Experience in working with offshore team is preferred
• Proven ability to deliver pragmatic business solutions
• Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands
• Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to work across interdisciplinary teams that are geographically dispersed
• Proficiency in SAS/SQL/VBA is a plus
