You will be responsible for product management within our Google Technical Services organization, driving the development of applications for our Marketing, Sales, Support, Operations and Channel Partner teams, whether sourced externally or built from conception to launch in close partnership with our creative and prolific Engineering team. You will be comfortable both in a rapid prototyping mode, or building for scale and always with a mind toward integrating data, processes and identity across applications.
Identify the applications and features that will give our internal teams and ecosystem partners an advantage and make them productive in their daily work.*
Craft a product strategy and roadmap; Make the business case for applications or features that support our go-to-market processes and further our technology goal of achieving a scalable, integrated and flexible cloud infrastructure.
Execute against our product roadmap, and define comprehensive product requirements; Initiate and prioritize projects within our team; Work in partnership with Engineering to make sound technical vs requirements scope tradeoffs, assist in figuring out best technical implementation methods and then project handle execution.
Establish the key operational metrics and goals for our applications; Coordinate with relevant teams across Google Technical Services to ensure that operational requirements are defined and met in addition to the product requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with counterparts in Engineering, Sales, Support and Operations; create cross-functional product and project teams optimized for successful product and business execution.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in a product management, software engineering or similar technical role.
Experience with web technologies and experience with API and systems design.
Experience designing and coding web or mobile cloud applications involving JavaScript, HTML, JSON, AJAX etc. Experience managing the full lifecycle from conception and requirements gathering to development to deployment.
Preferred qualifications:
MS degree in Software Engineering, or MBA degree.
Experience in product management, product design, or a role with equivalent responsibilities.
Knowledge of typical internal business client applications: partner/channel programs, customer relationship management, order management, marketing and demand management, support organization ticketing and management, business intelligence and analysis.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to evolve business and product strategy based on research, data and industry .
Significant people and organizational management skills. A natural leader and mentor.
Strong cross-functional project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
