The Sr. Director Marketing leads the downstream strategic clinical segment marketing and marketing communications teams. Drives the establishment, execution of and reporting against Go-To-Market strategies across the entire portfolio for the country. Leads the demand generation strategy, execution and performance tracking as well as new product definition and business planning within Clinical Products and in conjunction with the global Business Unit. Leads definition and completion of the most complex projects, selects sources and monitors results.
This role leads the development of business plans, product positioning in the marketplace, and product and campaign performance reporting in the USA. Designs structured product marketing plans from broad concepts and business strategies. Leads market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Manages the relationship and interaction with the market analysts.
This role reports to the Vice President, Ultrasound Business Management for Siemens Healthcare and will have 6 direct reports.

Lead demand generation strategy, execution and performance tracking
Lead new product definition and business planning within CX and in conjunction with the global Business Unit
Lead definition and completion of the most complex projects
Selects sources and monitors business results
Lead development of business plans, product positioning in the marketplace
Lead product and campaign performance reporting in the USA
Design structured product marketing plans from broad concepts and business strategies
Lead market research, monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs
Manage the relationship and interaction with market analysts
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, formal business qualifications an advantage
Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managing complex marketing projects
Excellent knowledge of the medical device market and the healthcare environmental changes.
Demonstrates full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.
Typically 15+ years of successful experience in medical device sales and marketing
Typically experienced managing multiple exempt-level employees and/or other managers.
Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization’s business practices and issues faced to the successful completion of complex assignments and problem resolution
Objection handling and conflict resolution skills
Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
Strong intra-organizational and external contacts, including within function, domestic, global business unit, external vendors and key customers.
Good understanding of capital equipment sales process
Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking required
Capacity to manage cross functional initiatives
Relentless customer focus
Must be able to travel 40% or more as required
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Advanced understanding of ultrasound technology
5+ yrs marketing experience in healthcare business
MBA or Masters in a related field
