The Senior Art Director must be able to think about and engage with Amazon’s wide customer base as a whole, as well as individual segments across the spectrum. Therefore, this Senior Art Director must be unique in that he or she will be a true creative visionary who is equally interested in business and in engaging consumers digitally. This leader should also be able to leverage offline media and Amazon’s unparalleled access to the consumer at large to further engage the fashion community for collaboration and ideation. The ideal creative leader will be someone who can envision the future and who is not afraid to develop and present new ideas to highly analytical business partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Creative Vision: Innovate within Amazon Fashion and Private Brands as we develop our vision for the future.
· Creative Leadership: Inspire and lead a team in the development and execution of all aspects of creative, including online and offline media.
· Brand imagery: Provide a context for the creative teams to develop aspirational brand imagery that inspires customers.
· Innovation and Ideation: Bring essential new ideas and collaborate with marketing, editorial, social, and brand management teams, as well as all creative and production partners.
· Lead the creation of world-class, beautiful visuals that support and reinforce the vision for each brand, in keeping with the business and marketing strategy.
· Work closely with merchandising and marketing leaders to develop style guides that translate their objectives to high-level creative execution.
· Be the fashion and creative expert, bringing a keen understanding of the apparel marketplace, and providing a creative framework that keeps Amazon Fashion on the leading edge.
· Embrace performance data and develop future creative strategy based on these insights.
· Manage and lead creative reviews and presentations while successfully presenting concepts and powerful narratives for senior management in order to influence business and creative decisions.
· Own the review process to mentor and inspire your team.
· Leverage external relationships in order to bring the most exceptional freelancers and vendors to projects as needed.
· Edit film, create story ideas that speak to fashion and concept, spreads for stories, home page story sequencing and overall pagination, while being mindful of how this plays out across all branding media.
Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design/Visual Communications/Advertising
· Minimum of 15 years professional experience total, with 7+ years in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
· Background working as a creative leader in the development of fashion brands, retail, or digital content innovation
· Marketing, advertising, design, or brand building experience
· Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and/or Bridge
· Must submit portfolio for consideration
Preferred Qualifications

· A remarkable portfolio that demonstrates your ability to turn ideas into a strong creative vision
· Excellent evaluator of talent, with the ability to further develop creative people and a creative team
· Has a high degree of intellectual acumen and curiosity
· A passionate and knowledgeable authority on all aspects of brand image design, advertising, and digital/social media
· Extensive experience with a digital, online retailer, or developing and leading the creative for digital and ecommerce aspects of a brand
· A compelling and inspirational creative leader who has excellent communication and presentation skills
· Strong multitasking abilities and an understanding of the fashion industry on the designer level
· Strong concept development and excellent design sensibility
· Ability to delve deep and think big, not just thinking of the small picture, but of big picture branding
