At least five to seven years industry-related sales experience with a sound knowledge of luxury product and service is essential.
The successful candidate must embody a strong work ethic, excellent diplomatic skills, and should be able to take a strategic and macro outlook on every aspect of the job. He or she must not be afraid of making difficult decisions, often within a tight timeframe in a fast-moving environment. Candidates must possess the ability to 'think big' as well as creatively, and should have a sound grasp of both the industry and the relevant competition. They must be capable of making compelling high-level presentations and must possess strong skills in both written and oral communications.
Ultimately, the successful candidate will be both confident and competent. They will require the stature and poise to play a leadership role within the agency sales division of a leading global luxury brand company. Enthusiasm for the company's products must be clearly demonstrable, whilst their high ethical standards, honesty and resourcefulness will rapidly earn the respect of the team. A prerequisite will be the individual's ability to deliver on aggressive sales plans.
The Sales Director must be very "hands-on" and capable of both strategic and tactical implementation with minimal support staff. He | she will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies designed to drive profitable revenue in their territory.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop territory action plan to meet or exceed revenue targets through agency and partner sales
Produce reporting metrics to measure, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
Establish and implement short-range and long-range territory goals, objectives, policies and procedures
Coordinate and implement sales strategy, selling cycle and methodology to provide best return on investment
Create and maintain competitive analysis and develop SWOT sales techniques
Use and maintain the integrity of the company's CRM system
Analyze sales statistics to determine sales growth potential
In conjunction with Vice President, seek out and target new customers and new markets
Coordinate with the marketing department with planning and development of territory sales materials
Represent the company at various community, events and | or business meetings to promote the company as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as require
Be the brand ambassador and instill confidence and loyalty in the Cox & Kings brand.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Five (5) to seven (7) years' sales experience
Five (5) years of experience selling luxury products or services
Proven ability to target high net worth markets
Ability to hit the ground running | Self-starter
Understands global retail leisure outbound distribution strategies (American market traveling outbound through travel agencies)
Extensive international destination knowledge, including Cox & Kings destinations preferred.
Existing sales relationships and a demonstrated track record of sales success required within a sales territory with a leading travel/hotel company.
Special Requirements
Valid Driver's License
Up to 75% business travel expected, including international destinations at times throughout the year.
Global travel experience
Strong computer skills as it relates to Microsoft Suite of products, CRM and Web-based applications
