Director Credit Collections Bentley Systems Philadelphia

Bentley Systems is seeking a Director of Credit and Collections who will lead the underlying processes and systems of the domestic billing, credit, collection and cash application in support of our strategic and financial objectives of profitable sales growth and cash management while balancing credit risk and reward.
This role will:
Provide management, strategy, and direction of Credit Department
Have responsibility for credit analysis and collection reviews
Design and oversee procedures and personnel to limit and control credit risk while allowing for maximization of sales opportunities.
Size and scale group to grow and expand
Responsibilities:



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Detailed analysis and credit approvals/requirements for new proposals.
Systematic preparation of written narratives for existing high risk, high volume accounts.
Maintain hands on approach regarding all risk categories.
Monthly reporting of aged receivables, DSO, disturbing or encouraging trends.
Train and develop group in higher levels of credit and financial analysis.
Author and update job descriptions and bands of approval authority for staff.
Refine and update existing inter and intra department procedures and policies.
Initiate new procedures to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.
Interact with marketing to include visiting customers and prospective clients.
Make creative suggestions to approve marginal applicants.
Open lines of communication with all departments within the organization.
Responsible for directing and managing group in a decentralized organization.
Design and execute diligence plans for acquisitions.
Recommend best practices for templates and forms.
Additional duties and projects as assigned.



Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience
Financial statement/ratio analysis
Analytical and creative thinking
Must possess strong management skill set.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a proactive approach to group and responsibilities
Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Education and/or Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
An advanced degree in business or accounting is a plus
Experience as leader in an IT role is a plus
Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial information systems.
Experience acquiring, consolidating, interpreting and enhancing information through computer systems using software packages are required
Proven ability to direct and mobilize an organization by strategic thinking, decisiveness, enthusiasm, competence and integrity
Implementing new ideas through negotiation, cultivating personal relationships, sound business planning and consensus building
Experience in a shared services environment
Proven leadership as a role model and a proactive manager
Developing professional relationships with internal and external customers
Documenting and streamlining processes effectively using whatever tools are available
Building mutually beneficial partnerships throughout organizations
Experience in transportation logistics industry a plus
