Content Marketing Director Adaptly New York

Adaptly is seeking a talented and motivated Content Marketing Director with success building content marketing that uses data and consumer insights to inform messaging, format, and distribution, ensuring audiences have a brand experience that is thoroughly informative and entertaining. This content marketer will be responsible for increasing awareness of the Adaptly brand within the digital media buying community and generating qualified sales leads through various thought leadership programs.
Specific marketing activities include creating thought leadership content using research, including third-party data and internal data; ongoing development of the company website and blog; publishing whitepapers and other content marketing pieces; and overseeing our social media strategy.
The Content Marketing Director will be located in New York and will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

Roles & Responsibilities

Write content based on insights from customer research, third-party data, internal stakeholders, and analysis of content consumption
Manage content development from ideation through to development, distribution, and performance monitoring
Work closely with Sales, Design, and Client Services and balance objectives with focus on the user and business message
Oversee usage of marketing automation software across company and optimize content, including email, to drive qualified leads and ultimately, revenue
Train and mentor content contributors, collaborators, and stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Effectively understand and translate business strategies and data into great marketing programs
Assess the impact of content marketing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand perception
Collaborate with various stakeholders internally to build consensus and generate marketing content like case studies
Develop and publish thought leadership content, including whitepapers, benchmarks, webinars, and industry presentations
Produce event and award proposals
Oversee a social media strategy and consistently execute social media activities
Manage relationship with external Public Relations representative and write bylines to ensure consistency of messaging

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of successful content marketing experience
Management of teams of in-house
Deep understanding of digital marketing, online advertising, and social media
B2B content experience in the the digital marketing industry
Experience working at a digital marketing company; social marketing preferred
Highly analytical and experienced in developing content and programs that showcase our data
Experience with automation tools is a plus
Direct experience working on social marketing platforms
Highly motivated and results oriented
Exceptional writing skills
Ability to develop detailed marketing plans and manage timelines
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to create internal buy-in for marketing programs, sell-through ideas, and create cross-functional alignment
Strategic thinker
Entrepreneurial, ability to operate successfully in start-up environment
Enthusiastic and energetic team player
Bachelor's degree required
