PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Responsibilities:
Assist the factories in the design and on selection of technology and equipment for new projects related to refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems and energy management initiatives.
Assess and advise the factory teams on knowledge and competencies to safely and efficiently operate and maintain refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems and energy management initiatives.
Contribute to the Energy Strategy in the Market to include regular assessments and recommendations on Sustainable Energy Solutions for all operations and supply chain.
Lead the training process to keep the facility Utilities Engineers updated and proficient on refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems and energy management. Coordinate the training efforts with department peers.
Encourage and foster continuous improvement, networking and sharing information within the Utilities community, in line with Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE – TPM, Six Sigma, Lean) principles.
Functional Responsibilities:
Ensure that all refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems are fully in compliance with local regulations and Nestlé norms, and are maintained and operated properly.
Define, propose and monitor the specific energy sourcing and management targets for the Market and assist the factories to generate their respective plans in line with the defined strategy. Cross fertilise best practices. Support energy assessments to identify opportunities. Provide technical review of proposed refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems improvement opportunities.
Ensure the refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems, as well as energy initiatives execution are in full alignment with the external and internal regulations and guidelines related to Safety and Environment, Nestlé mandatory norms and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Define Key Performance Indicators and annual objectives and targets. Monitor factory and market performance on a monthly basis, providing technical support as needed.
Drive the refrigeration, thermal, hygienic air handling and cooling tower systems, as well as energy initiatives efforts towards a "low cost, highly efficient" operation. Benchmark with other Nestlé Markets and factories, setting objectives for continuous improvement.
Establish standardize planned maintenance plans for common equipment with inputs from suppliers, our factories and industry best practices.
Evaluate capital investment proposals related to the functional area providing input prior to AFE in the scope definitions phase . Participation on project teams to provide technical support and GI guidance at project design phases.
Propose alternatives and new technologies for equipment. Ensure AM & PM requirements are incorporated as part of EM initiatives for new equipment purchases.
Develop and maintain equipment and design specifications for pertaining to industrial services
Explore and evaluate alternative sources and technologies for energy generation and supply.
Organize training and development programs for factory Maintenance and Utility engineers and key staff members.
Support Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE – TPM, Six Sigma, Lean) implementation as needed.

Travel: 50-60 percent
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the design, trouble shooting and problem
solving for industrial refrigeration, thermal and hygienic air handling systems for
food manufacturing and consumer goods industry. Design experience is a
prerequisite for this position.

Knowledge of renewable and integrated energy solutions
Analytical skills in problem solving.
