POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide strategic leadership and direct Regional Clinical Program Mangers to optimize resources to drive patients’ outcomes
· Drive adherence to role clarity in new model and ensure talent/performance management
· Provide insight to IIM Americas Sr. leadership team and highlight clinical priorities at the leadership level
· Provide national oversight to the Point of Care program (account placement, compliance, headcount, execution)
· Drive national CPT strategy, compliance and budget efficiency ,as well as, strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives especially related to AOP, patient retention, CPT management
· Coach and develop clinical team through the utilization of field visits, individual or group meetings, and telephone contacts
· Act as clinical lead on launch planning and HCP strategy development
· Build customer relationships in order to enhance satisfaction through effective management practices, development of individual and team skills required by corporate strategic direction and performance expectations.
· Ensure alignment across the Regions on diabetes knowledge, competencies, and the preferred way of on-boarding patients and following up to drive patient retention and success on our therapies.
· Act as key change agent and driver of all clinical change initiatives across the country
· Establish and maintain relationships across all functional areas and enabling functions to ensure on-going flow of information on product needs and market conditions.
· Remove barriers and impediments to success, within scope. Insures that corporate policies and procedures are followed.
· Provide support in attracting, hiring, and growing talent and leadership capability within the IIM Americas Commercial organization.
· Manage expenses within budget, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency. Works within and actively promotes Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
· Provide timely and open coaching and performance feedback, ensure a continuous process of one-on-one skill development, and swiftly address performance concerns and ensure performance management is effectively managed. Undertake all supervisory responsibilities in a manner consistent with equal opportunity guidelines and affirmative action programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of work experience or Master’s/MBA or advanced degree with 8+ years of work experience in the medical, clinical or healthcare sales area
· Minimum of 7 years progressive leadership experience including direct management experience
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing business plans, managing budgets, and using strong business acumen to drive positive outcomes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· MBA preferred
· Certification(s): A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields:
§ Registered Nurse (RN)
§ Registered Dietitian (RD)
§ Physician’s Assistant (PA)
§ Nurse Practitioner (NP)
§ Pharmacist
· 8+ years direct work experience managing clinical or sales teams, particularly in consumer products or medical devices.
· Working knowledge in the following disciplines: engineering, clinical, business opportunity assessments, managed markets, geographic markets or sales
· Diabetes experience or knowledge
· Experience to build and inspire people, establish trust and lead high performing teams
· Influence key decision makers and conduct briefing meetings for top management
· Broad understanding of key business drivers and organizational needs
· Ability to think creatively and plan strategically
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written
· Good interpersonal skills
