DIRECTOR, CONSUMER MARKETING CMT Viacom Nashville

Serve as primary project manager for all advertising efforts, consumer promotion, and audience engagement. Including responsibility for the execution of consumer marketing strategies and programs: to (1) market the CMT brand and our stable of acclaimed original scripted and unscripted series, specials, and live events to consumers to increase tune-in for CMT and all related CMT products and services and to (2) grow awareness of and engagement with the CMT brand.

Responsibilities

Directs all show-specific advertising, promotional and social marketing plans including television, digital, social, outdoor, print, experiential, trade, in strategic consultation with VP, Consumer Marketing and marketing team
Responsible for direction and management of creative and media resources for retainer-based, in-house, or project needs including acting as both strategic and financial contact for outside agencies
Responsible for creation and presentation of briefs that encapsulate the goals and objectives of the network and priority programming as it relates to marketing projects
Oversee the development and execution of all Viacom, entertainment, music, Nashville related marketing efforts as directed
Responsible for overall team performance, including evaluation, interviewing and screening for open positions. Day-to-day team operations including project delegation.
Interface with all internal departments, including those outside of Nashville office, to ensure clear and united message content and program/brand positioning
Develop budget recommendations and accountable for project and annual budget performance (forecasts, projections, and actual)
Oversee and ensure conception, development and execution of promotions and promotional programs including tie-ins to the networks, sweepstakes, contests, and 3rd party promotional relationships, to sustain and enhance revenues and market share
Strategic oversight, direction and guidance on all consumer marketing projects
Strategic contact for promotional partners
Collaborates with internal partners to build clear and effective lines of communication between departments
Encourages innovative thought and behavior and serves as an example to all staff employees
Provides strong leadership and serves as an example of the company’s culture and brand by providing inspiration, motivation and guidance to the subordinate staff.
Empowers colleagues through delegation, coaching, mentoring and providing positive challenges
Acts in an ethical and professional manner at all times, adhering to Viacom’s code of conduct policies
Performs other essential functions as assigned
Basic Qualifications

BS degree in Marketing or related field required
A minimum of seven years of experience in marketing with at least three to five years in consumer marketing in a corporate environment
Proven experience managing budgets in excess of $5 million
Two years of prior experience managing others required
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously is required
Additional Qualifications

Extensive experience managing marketing for television or other entertainment industry, with contacts at all trade publications and organizations for television, music, entertainment, and advertising
