WDC is looking for a strategic, finance leader to join our Corporate FP & A leadership.
This Senior Director will collaborate with WDC’s Global Finance leadership team to develop financial strategies and drive analytics to enable business decision making. The Senior Director – Global Finance will drive long-term planning, forecasting and budgeting processes for the company and provide detailed monthly reports and analysis to WDC’s CFO and Senior Leadership. The position will involve delivering important insights to senior finance leaders and executive management and require strong influential management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Analytics

• Partner with head of Corporate Functions and executive team to develop long term financial plans
• Develop and present strategic insights about the business and key corporate functions
• Align functional goals and strategies to broader global initiatives
• Lead performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for WDC’s Global Finance function
• Become a trusted business partner to all business units and executive management
Financial Management
• Lead preparation of the annual business plan and analysis
• Interpret and present key findings to the CFO and senior leadership
• Enable management by providing timely, accurate information
• Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results
• Establish efficient processes for quarterly and monthly performance reporting
Project Management
• Spearhead ad hoc projects to further improve overall performance of the team and organization(s)
• Decision support to senior finance leadership on investment / project decisions as well as strategic organizational and functional developments
• Provide thought leadership and guidance over core processes building efficiencies and streamlining deliverable for optimal results
People Management
• Attract, recruit and train top talent into the Corporate Finance organization
• Influence, motivate and collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders
• Provide active leadership to the Corporate Finance organization, developing and championing change processes, people and systems

Specific Knowledge/Skills
 Expert understanding of budget, planning and expenditure controls. Strong technology orientation in order to communicate with technically oriented customer base. Superior interpersonal skills to interact with extremely diverse customer base. Strong modeling skills to evaluate and manage plans and forecasts. Excellent presentation skills with ability to present to highest level management.
 Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and GAAP. Strong skills in MS Excel (modeling ability), MS PowerPoint, MS Word and Outlook. Confident and clear communication skills (in verbal and written forms) with senior management. Present and discuss financial information in a way that gains understanding and persuades others.
 People management: Must be able to direct subordinates effectively to meet the responsibilities and goals of the finance function. Must be able to delegate effectively, develop, coach and motivate staff effectively. Ability to manage a large group of direct reports in local and remote locations. Potential exists for international direct reports. Must be able to comply with Human Resources guidelines and applicable federal, state and local laws governing employment practices, work environments and the Equal Opportunity Act

Uses MS Excel (advanced skill), MS PowerPoint and MS WORD (advanced skills), Corporate Time, email, intranet, internet browsers, Oracle, PC, keyboard, mouse, phone, fax, copier, calculator, 10-key (advanced).

 Apply advanced English language skills to:
o Read, analyze, and interpret documents such as scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
o Write complex reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and policy manuals using excellent grammar, correct punctuation and spelling, cohesive structure, concise working and appropriate tone

Mathematical Skills, able to:
 Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
