The Director of Product, Metrics position will be responsible for the definition and execution of existing, new and updated metrics functionality within the entire suite of products for the NBC Entertainment Digital department. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in analytics, defining user stories and requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the implementation of metrics throughout a portfolio.

Essential Responsibilities
Bring a thorough understanding of business analytics, front-end data reporting, and business intelligence tools to support the creation of analytics product requirements and user stories.
Write detailed user stories, product requirements, and specifications in coordination with other key stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with the Research and Reporting teams within NBC Entertainment Digital to ensure that NBCD products will correctly report the information needed to fuel downstream reporting and analysis of all key stakeholders.
Gather and document comprehensive corporate tagging requirements from the NBC Universal Research group.
Explain and clarify user stories as needed in consultation with NBCD Technology team to make sure the metrics requirements are implemented correctly. Provide Product acceptance of analytics functionality across the product portfolio.
Work with the PMO team to connect the Technology team to required technical documentation for analytics implementation.
Cultivate internal QA competence in metrics testing that will allow NBCD to certify analytics implementations before handing the product off to other internal or external Research teams for validation.
Develop a functional understanding of all of the analytics tools used by NBC Entertainment Digital.
Responsible for maintaining event and property tagging standards across NBC Entertainment Digital products.
Subject matter expert on analytics and related technologies (e.g. mobile apps, web development, reporting.), consulting as needed.
Work with Management to clearly understand strategic direction and Product requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of proven Product Management experience.
Expert in Management of web and mobile applications following standard Agile / Project Lifecycle methodologies.
Mimimum 5 years of proven Analytics experience.

Desired Characteristics Desired Characteristics:
Experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics/Omniture,
comScore Audience Analytics, Mixpanel, Kochava, Fabric Answers and the ability to use a web debugging proxy.
Experience with funnels, cohort analysis.
Experience in the set-up and execution of A/B tests.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities as well as the capacity to work independently with cross-functional teams to accomplish overall project goals.
Proficient in web and mobile technology and digital industry trends
Writing and editing proficiency.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, competitive, fast-paced environment.
Bachelors Degree
The successful candidate must be highly analytical and inquisitive in nature, with a hunger for deep insights and a strong interest in solving complex problems.
