Intuit’s CTO organization provides thought leadership and partners with our product groups to continually advance excellence in engineering that results in technology innovations that delight our customers. As a key member of the CTO org, this individual will provide the leadership, team building and execution necessary to ensure that all shared and platform technologies are of high quality. A key strategy of acquiring high quality data for our customers is to have a direct API connections with the Provider. As the Director of Product Development for Direct Connectivity, you will lead the vision and execution of all Financial Development Platform (FDP) Direct Connectivity services. You will work across the Financial Data Systems (FDS) group, the CTO Development org and with all business units across Intuit. You will lead and Influence the development of industry standards for financial data exchange within US and outside of US.

Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for this role will encompass leading a team of core platform and solutions engineering to build integrations with data providers at scale
Manage the Direct Connectivity Platform team as well as the Solution Engineering team
Work closely with other development leaders, Architects, Directors of Product Management in FDS group as well as other business units
Work with outside organizations including large financial institutions’ technical leaders, industry or government associations, application developer and data acquisition companies to drive successful integrations.
The successful candidate will also be responsible to drive API standards for direct connectivity in US and globally
This position will require a combination of strong technical skills working closely with the engineering and architecture teams; Product skills to balance between technical and product goals; Collaboration skills to partner within FDS and with other BU product and engineering leaders.

Qualifications

The Director of Product Development for Direct Connectivity will have a successful history of building and motivating strong, world-class teams, applying strategic thinking, and executing effectively to deliver a track record of sustained accomplishments. The person will be adept at working with globally distributed teams and has experience leading global product development teams in highly successful software product development environments. Major emphasis will be placed on the person’s leadership skills, ability to hire outstanding talent and coach them to success, form strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders as well as with their employees, foster an innovative environment and above all, be grounded on a strong sense of integrity and values.

Qualifications
BS with advanced degree preferred (e.g. MS, PhD. in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical engineering) a minimum 10-15 years of experience in the software product industry
10+ years building and developing strong teams producing outstanding business results.
Ability and experience to define and inspire teams across organizations around a clear vision and execution plan
A proven track record of delivering complex platform initiatives working across multiple teams
An ability to relate priorities and work that the business and customer needs
Deep technology background and skills, in particular in the platform development with experiencing in delivering SOA and SaaS solutions.
Ability to balance the long and short, delivering on long term platform goals while delivering to short term business needs
Excellent collaboration skills – leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations, respected, experience of working across levels from engineers and architects, directors within FDS and across Intuit.
Leading the way, proactively driving the vision and plan forward, staying ahead, pushing the team or starting new initiatives to innovate or to explore new ways of doing things
Passion for the technical excellence and solving for customer problems
A track record of building and growing great engineering talent, hiring the best, and managing performance issues proactively
