We're looking for a world class executive to be the Director of Payments Offerings in our Product Development organization. This role is based in Mountain View, CA, and will lead the growing Payments Offerings PD organization. You’ll join a company whose culture, from individual contributor to executive staff to the CEO, is characterized by the terms "Lean, Agile, and Customer Focus". You’ll be a member of a leadership team that acts as one team with a vision to deliver flawless and secure technology experiences to our customers, and you’ll report directly to the Vice President of Offerings.

Reports to the VP of Offerings Engineering.
Leads a team of roughly 35 full-time and contractors initially, with the likelihood to increase going forward.
Defines and drives a vision for the Payments Team.
Thinks and acts strategically. Stays abreast of industry trends and modern SPA JavaScript architecture, particularly related to React/GraphQL and JavaScript MVC toolkits.
Hires, mentors and develops outstanding UI and Fullstack engineers.
Makes hands-on judgment calls about country-specific one-offs vs building it right for the re-use, quality and supportability.
Works with architects, principal engineers and compliance leaders to insure secure and compliant applications.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in professional software development, and 3 years leading teams of 25 people or larger.
Experience setting and leading modern SPA FE architectures. Ideally, has lead multiple FE product teams that set their own architectural direction. Should have lead production releases of modern consumer applications built on JavaScript MVC toolkits such as React, Dojo, AngularJS, Backbone.js etc.
Must be technical and a former professional coder (although can be rusty).
Experience managing at least 2 first line managers.
Experience defining vision and then influencing those who don’t report to you.
Bonus: experience leading a Payments product.
Bonus: currently a strong JS coder.
Bonus: has architected and built RESTful or GraphQL backends.
Bonus: has lead a central/platform development team
