The Digital Partnerships & Development Mobile & Digital Payments Product Management team is looking for a Director to lead and own mobile payments initiatives. The person taking this role will lead a group of Mobile Payments product managers and drive our mobile payments product strategy. The Director will forge relationships with each of our mobile payments partners, working with the product owners on the partner side to define our shared roadmaps and track toward successful launches. In addition to external partnership management, the Director will also lead much of our internal American Express partnerships including those with the Network, Merchant Services and the International Proprietary Business. The Director will also help define the future of mobile payments at American Express as the market evolves.

The team manages our mobile payment solutions and partners, Apple Pay, Android and Samsung Pay, as well as our digital payment solutions, Express Checkout and Amex Token Service.
Primary responsibilities:
Lead mobile payments team, focused on growing American Express share in mobile wallets
Partner with product teams at Apple, Google and Samsung to define a shared roadmap, work through challenges and ensure the successful launch of products and features
Partner with Technologies to shape our products and create the best solutions for our customers
Work with internal stakeholders to align on the roadmap and coordinate dependencies
Articulate proof of concept initiatives to be driven by the product team and technologies
Focus on health of product analysis to determine where we can improve the experience and increase usage
Track the evolution of the mobile payments landscape
Develop new partnership, product and feature opportunities based incoming requests and proactive identification of new solutions
Act as the Enterprise subject matter expert on mobile payments
Qualifications

Understanding of American Express tech and product development processes, known as a business person who can speak both tech and business languages
Detail oriented, able to identify key questions, make product decisions and determine how pieces of the puzzle interact and impact the overall project
Recognize issues quickly and determine how to go about getting resolution
Able to negotiate with stakeholders and partners to remove obstacles
Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results
Passion for mobile products and technology and figuring out how things work
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
3-5 years of experience in new product development, product management, or similar role
Experience with direct management is a plus, but not a requirement
