Responsible for Labor Relations and Human Resources in a parts distribution center.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for negotiating and administrating Local and National Agreements
-Promotes a positive working relationship with the Union through consistent application of Local and National agreements

-Ensures adherence to the Grievance Procedure with focus on those appealed to the local shop committee in accordance with national agreement timelines

-Manages conflict/problem resolution

-Manages hourly employment administration

-Coordinates placement of restricted employees

-Facilitates training for supervision on HR / LR - related policies/procedures and assists management in training on UAW Local and National agreements

-As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for the plant organization, advises plant leadership and supports the implementation of salaried human resources activities (e.g. talent management, HRM Planning, performance management, hiring, on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, compensation administration)

-Assists the Plant Manager in driving and supporting Workplace of Choice initiatives to improve employee engagement

-Provides required support and assists in the implementation of GM's Global Manufacturing System as it relations to people

-Assists in strategic leadership for overall compliance with corporate, contractual, federal and local health and safety requirements

-Facilitates prompt resolution of Health and Safety Complaints
